Being retired from the army we always had to make sure weapons were always ready to go, vehicles were checked. I inspected the desk, hardware metal framing and the instruction sheet. Everything was packed with care and organized. The only problem I had was with the instruction sheet. Only images of assembly were on the pages. You have to look and sometimes even hold a section of desk and orient it to match direction on the pages. You don't need battery operated drivers to assemble. It took me about 5 hours and 30 minutes to assemble but then again I'm 89 years old. The desk is beginning to become a conversation piece when friends or family come to visit and see my office. Everyone loves it. I have plenty of room for laptop, bluetooth speakers, writing area and a few small items like pencil and pen holder. I made a great purchase and it passed. It's put together solid and no loose bolts or screws. Do not over tighten and you will be fine. I highly recommend this. Oh by the way it only took me about 3 hours but that's because I paced myself and took a few breaks. I'm not 89 year old either only in my early 60's so it wasn't that bad assembling together. :) ... show more

I have ordered and put together so many things. Of course, pre-drill can be off, missing screws or parts, etc. This was the very first time in my life that I had zero problems. The instructions and pics are shown for a novice person to follow. The packaging was absolutely perfect (desk will come in 2 boxes) and almost every screw, wood dowl, etc, got extra. Like I said, 5 stars does not cut it. 1000 stars will do and not only recommend 100% but 1000%!!! ... show more

If not for box discarded and assembled would return it. A nightmare to assemble. One Allen key which was stripped by the end and luckily had another to finish. Directions and orientation of panels in instructions not clear and had to tear down and reassemble. Piece came damaged. Very heavy pieces for one person to handle to align together. If you need more stress and frustration in your life, this desk is for you. ... show more

Desk looks like a more expensive desk than it is. The instructions were a little hard to follow, but I made it through and get compliments on the brown/black combo. Love it!

This is a large desk. No issues besides the joint is held together by just two screws. The joint is fine once the desk is in place, but moving the desk and pushing it to the corner across a carpet floor could damage your desk. I basically got under it and bench pressed it to get it the last few inches to the corner. ... show more
