I just got my desk assembled and it is amazing. This is the first time I have ever bought a desk, so I did tons of research and pored over SO many listings, taking deep consideration of how I wanted to use the desk, what features would be most useful, the style and, most importantly, the size and the price point. This is a big investment for me so I wanted to make sure to get the best quality for the best price possible. After making my decision (I had settled on a different listing, your typical L-desk with a hutch), I stumbled across this desk from Tribesigns. It took me by surprise, as was not the desk I originally envisioned in my office, it was very different in style and appearance. It was at the very tippy top of my price range. But I knew it would be the best fit for my needs. Well, I'm now sitting at this new desk and i'm thrilled to have ordered this instead of the other one. It's very high quality, and although it was missing one part (not a vital one, but an important one, one of the 4 metal tubes holding up the top part of the file cabinet portion) it is very spacious and sturdy. It took maybe 3 hours for me to assemble by myself (female), and was mostly very easy, but it was tricky at one point when required to attach the sliding tracks for the file cabinet (the instructions imply that you can somehow separate the inside tracks from the outside tracks, and then attach one side to the cabinet and one side to the drawer, and then slide the drawer in later, just like you do with the rolling drawer tracks...but I could not find a way to do this and had to attach the fully assembled track to the drawer, and then attach the whole drawer to the file cabinet....it was a little awkward but it worked out fine in the end, working carefully. I hope the company can send me that missing part. Otherwise I am very happy with this desk and encourage you to make the investment if you are on the fence. Wonderful desk! It's 2 pieces....desk and side piece....which is what I wanted. You can connect them together as well. Love the finish and color. Very very nice desk. Was skeptical buying with not that many detailed or wow reviews but decided to go for it. Arrived on time, undamaged inside. Nothing was missing. I've assembled several other pieces of furniture so I know what to expect. The cabinet had quite a number of pieces, the desk had less. Hardware was clearly labeled, instruction (pictures) were easy to follow and clear. Comes with a screwdriver and a little wrench. Took me a total of about 5 hours to assemble both pieces. I used a impact driver (lowest setting when it was convenient) and a full sized screw driver. Nothings cracked or stripped out on me. I suggest you don't tighten anything down as you go (especially the table top panels), leave slightly snuged then hand tighten only when appropriate. Not necessary to go crazy tight as the panels are not real wood and not too thick. Instructions say to tighten the top with the table upside down but I chose to tighten from underneath as I didn't want to take the chance of tugging on the table top standing it up. Based on another review, do not try to lift the desk by the wood, lift it by the frame, but it is pretty easy to push and pull around without lifting. I really love the color contrast and the aluminum white frame is really nice visually. Overall I am really pleased with the office desk. Assembly was about a 3/10 in difficulty (not that bad really but I have assembled more difficult pieces before so I knew what to expect). Just be patient and follow the pictured instructions. The desk itself is very nice. Assembly instructions were simple and easy to follow. All hardware and pieces were labeled so no mistaking what parts went where. Downside: A couple of the pieces didn't fit flush, as if the holes were off just a bit, so there are some slight gaps in the desk top, and uneven along one edge. Also, though the metal pieces are well made and sturdy, the wood is pretty fragile. The veneer coating chips and peels quite easily, so I don't recommend moving the desk a lot, or having it in a high traffic area. It is solid, and has a lot of room on desk top. The drawers are very well made, go together easily, and slide ope/close smoothly. A lot of shelf space as well. I do recommend this, for the price point it is a great product. ... show more

The top comes in 4 separate pieces. It took a long time to get it lined up enough to not have big gaps and uneven seams. Top came chipped in one corner, and all of the metal parts were slightly dented or bent and required a little force to line back straight enough to assemble. It’s gonna be more work than it’s worth to try and return at this point. Pretty cheap feel overall. Shipping arrived on time and wasn’t missing any parts. Spacious and functional desk with a great L-shape design and useful storage, but assembly takes time. Unfortunately, one of the panels arrived damaged, which was disappointing and raises some quality concerns. Overall, it works well for organization, but the materials feel average for the price.
