I ordered this for a professional office to replace someone’s tiny desk. Expect to spend a few hours putting it together as it comes in smaller pieces, but it wasn’t that difficult. The instructions are clear and it came with all the tools you need. After reading the reviews, I was nervous about this arriving damaged, but to my relief it was all in good condition. The box was lined with styrofoam and corners were protected. The only thing that was incredibly frustrating was the fact that no directions came with this. Luckily I am able to figure things out fairly easily off of a picture, but if you are personally not, then I’d maybe look at a different desk. This is a BIG, sturdy desk! I assembled it using my power tools. I see how some think the assembly is complicated. There are several steps. The structural pieces and wood are finished very well and fit together very well. This is a quality piece of furniture. My only complaint is I can’t add a keyboard drawer underneath. To get everything right, I do recommend, if possible, that you have two people put the desk together. Overall, it is a great desk. The desk looks nice and seems pretty sturdy, so I'm happy with the product for the money. The one thing that I didn't like was the packaging—the styrofoam they used was an absolute mess. It stuck to every part of the desk, to my clothes, and got all over the floor. I spent a lot of extra time cleaning up after I built the desk.
