I wonder if the reviewers who didn't like these sheets knew what "cotton percale" was before they ordered? My FAVORITE sheets, also 100% cotton percale, that I got many years ago finally died. They were so soft and cool, after many years of service and washings. I looked around...trust me it is not easy to find 100% cotton percale sheets. These are exactly what I was looking for. No, these are NOT "sateen" sheets, nor do they contain Polyester. So, yes, they wrinkle (which is fine with me). They are thin. But, these "thin" sheets are way stronger than any 4:1 "sateen" weave, and will last many more years than those, and won't pill along the way. Do some research on percale vs. sateen. If you want sateen, then don't buy percale sheets. But, if you want crisp, cool sheets that last for years and get softer with age...then by all means get these. We love them. One thing that I also learned that may be helpful is that if you are looking for a cooler sheet, you are going to want to look for a LOWER thread count. It seems like cotton percale sheets range from around 250 - 400 t.c. The lower you go, the "coarser" the sheets feel, the higher the "smoother" they feel (but hotter). THESE ARE PERFECT SUMMER SHEETS, on the lower end of the scale, but not the lowest...so they feel great, without trapping too much heat. And note that we live in a cold climate, so switch to quality 500 t.c. 100% cotton damask stripe sheets in the fall (our "cold weather" sheets). It is quite noticeable how much warmer those other sheets are than the cotton percale. Also note what other reviewers have said...these are quite deep on the fitted sheet. I have a deep mattress so these work better than many...just FYI on that. We do like that the elastic goes all the way around, not just in the corners. These sheets are made very well. ... show more

Probably the best percale sheets we have ever owned...as we hace an extra large pillow top on our mattress/box spring we needed extra deep pockets to fit it. These fit the bill exactly. Great fit, color, cool comfort, and they have held up well after several months of use. Doesn't get much better than that...would recommend, and we will order more sets. ... show more

This is the second set I have bought. We like percale for the cooler and crispy feel. It does have a wrinkled appearance right out of the dryer but it doesn’t matter to us. I will be ordering more in case they become unavailable or stock depleted.

I am a sheet snob, I admit it. Of the dozens of sets of sheets I own, I use nothing but percale in summer. I’m a hot sleeper and I love the crisp coolness of fresh percale. Tribeca Living makes wonderful percale sheets with extra deep pockets and oversized top sheets that wash beautifully and feel smooth and cool. Some people complain about the crispness; I love it in the hot summer. Some say these sheets wrinkle badly; I haven’t found it to be a problem and even if there were wrinkles I’d gladly trade them for the cool crispness of the percale weave. I don’t know how people sleep on bamboo or microfiber, IMO 100% cotton percale is the best. ... show more

    • Elastic corner let go !

I bought the grey Tribecca living sheet set in King size. Sheets are soft and cool, the elasticized corners are very wide which I thought was great. Washed, used, washed used and noticed a corner has lost all elasticity I did not bother to check any other corners but one for sure let go. Now the corner keeps rising up the mattress because the elastic does not hold it. A bit disappointed since I went to great lengths to find sheets that will be cool to sleep on. I have only had them for 8 months... used twice as I have other sheet sets I also use. ... show more

    • Been Looking for Crisp Sheets!

I have been searching for thick crisp sheets for a long time. I bought a lot of sheets saying percale, but was always disappointed. But these are exactly what I remembered my mom having. Sheets you can HEAR when you pull them down or up. My mattress is not that thick, but I bought a thick mattress cover and a 2" memory foam topper and the sheets fit fine. The elastic around the WHOLE bottom, not just corners, is a good inch thick with triple stitching, where that elastic should last for years. Also, not only are they thick and crisp, they are softer than those years ago. 300 ct is about as high I would go. Over that, they get to slick, and hot. I am going to buy more in case these disappear,even though they are a little expensive for my budget. Seems when I find what Im looking for, buy one, then it gets discontinued somehow! Another little tid bit, if you have animals who get on your bed, their hair does not stick to these sheets. LOVE THESE SHEETS! Need more colors thought in 300ct. ... show more
