Description

HOW TO APPLY: STEP 1: Pour 1 teaspoon of oil on a rag. STEP 2: Pull out chain as much as possible. STEP 3: With oiled rag, stroke chain back and forth until chain is oiled. STEP 4: Use the rower for 1 minute to help disperse the oil on chain. NOTE: We recommend oiling a rowing machine chain every 50 hours of use or 3 months (whichever comes first)

    • Overpriced Oil For Concept 2 Rowing Machine
I bought this oil before watching the Concept 2 maintenance videos that specified the type of recommended oil. The Concept 2 website specifies every 50 hours for maintenance on the chain use "purified mineral oil, 3-IN-ONE oil, or 20W motor oil." Those are a fraction of the cost of this oil. Plain gun oil is also great...super easy to use with pre-oiled sheets - just pull out a pre-oiled sheet from the plastic container and wipe it on the chain. Just remember that no oil with a cleaning agent is recommended such as WD40...That's it. This oil is also fine... Just three to four times the price of the others. ... show more

    • A must have to keep the chain lubricated and clean after each use.
Very easy to use on the chain mechanism on my rowing machine - just pour a teaspoonful on a rag and wipe away the grime and lubricate at the same time!.

I have not tried many oils to really give this a great comparison. But I can tell you that I applied said oil to my rower and said rower seems to be working like a rower...so it must be working.

    • Great lubricant for Concept 2
I bought this oil for use on my Concept 2E and it works great if applied properly. Two tablespoons of oil is all it takes on a clean rag pulling the chain through the palm of you hand. Lube about every 2 weeks and you're good to go. I highly recommend this item A+++.
