V-Twin Full Synthetic is Ultra-clean additive package keeps engines clean, protects against sludge and allows for trouble-free operation. Maxima V-Twin Heavy-Duty Transmission & Gear Oil is a high-quality, mineral based motorcycle gear oil. Recommended for use in 4-, 5- and 6-speed high performance gear boxes. High film strength gear oil provides excellent protection against shock loads, viscosity loss and wear. Extreme pressure additives and surface active chemistry allow smooth shifting under peak loads and RPMs. Ultra-clean detergents protect gears from wear, deposits and allow for trouble-free operation. This kit is far cheaper than the official harley oil change kits sold at dealers but still a good quality! I didn't use the filter only because I already had a K&N filter but now I got an extra. Some other reviews claim there isn't enough oil for the primary and that may be true, it's short by 4oz. According to multiple forums the primary on an Milwaukee M8 harley takes 36oz (4oz more than a quart) the transmission take 28oz (4oz less than a quart) I'm good friends with a former harley tec that told me he's only ever put a quart in the primary and a quart in the trans and everything turned out just fine. Being short or over full by a whole 4oz in the primary or the trans isn't gonna hurt anything. But if it makes you feel better get another quart of primary and top it off. ... show more

I’ve purchased this kit 3 times and the oil is quality, the transmission fluid is great and the primary fluid keeps my bike running smooth. Engine noise is limited and knocking is first heard after about 4,000 miles. Right about the time I change my oil.
