I bought this AC to DC adapter because I did not like the fact that Traxxas included only a fast charging Car charger with my Traxxas Slash 2wd, which I bought on Amazon. They should include a standard wall charger in my opinion. By "they" i mean Traxxas. With that said,..there is nothing wrong with this AC to DC adapter...it works fine,..and does what its supposed to do. I would recommend this adapter if you are like me and find it more practical to charge from a wall socket rather than waiting for a battery to charge in your car for 35-40 mins.(yes,..i timed the car charger). I didnt want to shell out $40+ for the 4amp, fast, battery ID, wall charger by Traxxas. The charging time with this adapter and the car charger included in the Traxxas Slash 2wd is the same, 35-40 mins just like the car charger by itself in your vehicle. I would recommend this adapter for wall charging at home. ... show more

A must have for Traxxas RTR iD model trucks. Trucks come out of box with a 12v cigarette lighter charger only. (Which is super annoying) This product works well for what it was intended for. Capable of fast charging up to 4 amps which is nice. Traxxas makes a 2amp wall charger that in my opinion should be included in their ready to race packages instead. ... show more

It works like it should. Kind of sucks I had to buy this in order to charge my battery in the house. But hey, there are a lot of hobby grade rc vehicles that don’t even come with a charger or battery.

Bought a LaTrax Rally for my niece, which for some reason comes with a 12v charger. I bought this because it was quick and easy for them since she is younger and her parents are new to Rc. It works, but 23$ before tax and shipping on an item that they know they were going to sale because they put the other style in some of their base RTR kits is kind of a joke. I wish they offered some of those kits with the option of 110 wall plug or 12v. Over all, it does what its supposed to, but i'm sure if i spent the extra 5-10 minutes I could have found the same thing with out their name on it and saved $10-$15 ... show more

This charger is great, I spent a lot of money on a RC car that only came with a charger that can only be used on a car cigarette lighter or whatever they are called these days. Due to numerous DUI's I do not even own a car and buying one to just charge a battery didn't seem very economical. Thankfully I do not have to worry about that expense cutting into my alcohol funds. It does what it is suppose to do, though I wish the expensive RC car came with a wall charger in the first place, instead it came with a car charger so I needed to buy this adapter. Power usage isn't bad either, with 0.0 to 0.5 watts being used according to my power meter with nothing plugged in it and about 1.2 watts when the charger is plugged in and not hooked up to anything (not charging any batteries)... but you may want to at least unplug the charger when not being used, or better yet, just unplug the entire adapter when not used to save a little money and for safety reasons (better to be unplugged when not in use anyway). Oh, and buy from a reputable place to make sure you get the real thing. ... show more

The only reason I rated it 5 stars is so people would see it. THE STUPID THING NEVER WORKED I HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER$50 TO BUY AN EASY PEAK CHARGER. OVER $120 IN CHARGERS. I WOULD BUY AN EASY PEAK INSTEAD. TRUST ME
