I don't have much to add to L. Belanger's excellent review above. The bag itself is a dream to use - well made, swivels or can be tipped up to use on just 2 wheels and works flawlessly either way. There is plenty of space, and I really appreciate the way the expansion section is designed as it adds significant cubic inches to the overall capacity without compromising the bag's ability to fit in an overhead bin. However ... the cheap plastic wheels are of very poor quality and will degrade, especially if you take this overseas anywhere where the airport flooring isn't polished tile or concrete. Literally 2 days after my 1 year warranty had expired I took a trip to SE Asia and returned home with the above flat spot now worn into the wheels, a consequence of one of them getting stuck and dragged (unbeknownst to me) for a day or two. "No worries," I thought, "I'll just order a replacement set of wheels. It'll cost me $20 for $2 worth of rubber, but I'm happy to do that to keep a $150 bag on the road." So I started to search for replacement wheels. No dice. No one on Amazon sells them, though there are MANY different versions that are almost the same thing (almost meaning useless in this context, as if it won't screw into the same holes, you can't use it). So I wrote Travelpro, asking where I could buy one from them. I was happy to overpay, again, as I didn't want to throw the bag in the garbage and all it needed was a simple replacement (which no specialized mechanical knowledge was required for - it's literally just unscrewing 5 screws). They insisted I take it to their repair center over an hour away. I refused, knowing that I was past the warranty deadline and would be charged for the repair, which would likely cost most of the price of just buying a new one. After several emails were exchanged, they asked for my address - I assumed I had won and they were going to send me a new wheel assembly! A few days later, a suspiciously large package arrived - it turns out they sent me a whole new bag, free of charge, despite me being out of warranty! So, amazing customer service, I have to say, in the end. They definitely made it right. Now if only I could figure out what to do with the other bag - I still don't want to throw it away! ... show more

    • Perfect bag that actually fits in overhead bin

I bought this bag to replace a Travelpro Crew Roll Aboard that was at least 20 years old. I packed this little guy with everything I needed for 2 weeks in Europe. I had planned to check it but because of an airline booking error I had to carry it on a regional jet. I am an old woman and I was able to grab this bag by its top and side handles and slide it into the bin no problem. It rolls along upright on smooth surfaces, tips to roll over cobblestones and rough paths. The telescoping handle feels solid. I carried it on trains, checked it on three flights and an overnight bus. It looks good as new. I got the blue because it was a little cheaper and it is just enough different to stand out on the carousel. I particularly like that both sides have full covered zippered compartments that eliminate the need for compression cubes. I managed to get everything in that I packed for the trip plus a bottle of artisan gin, a bottle of grappa and a bottle of Croatian olive oil. I looked at other bags but decided to reward Travelpro for the excellent service I got from my old Crew bag. ... show more

This is a great carry on bag. Took on a trip to Portugal with many connections including airlines, buses and taxis. No problems on streets and cobblestones, through airports and subway stations. It is lightweight and durable. At first I was concerned about the handle which did not seem sturdy but did not have any trouble at all, even with a tote bag attached. I was able to pack for a weeks travel with this and a personal bag, and I am an over packer. Would definitely recommend this bag! ... show more

    • Traveled better than I thought it would
Size: Carry-On 21-Inch Color: Slate Green
This lightweight carry-on suitcase was a perfect choice for my two trips to France: 30 days in October 2022, and 30 days in June 2023. I was able to fit all of my clothes in it (toiletries went into a backpack). It fit perfectly as a carry-on in every plane I took, both US and French planes. I dragged this suitcase all over France with its uneven sidewalks, dirt paths, cobblestoned streets, pedestrian steps, etc. This little suitcase went through, what sometimes appeared to be war zones, and none of the wheels broke off! In other words, it took a lot of abuse, and it held up well! It was easy to maneuver with the swivel wheels, but only on smooth surfaces. Those cobblestoned streets and beat-up sidewalks required the suitcase to be pulled from behind. But when in smoother conditions, the suitcase glided right along side of me very easily. It feels flimsy but it worked. Purchased the 24" for a trip that involved Air Canada. Reviews indicated that they are very strict re luggage size so I wanted to be sure I met their criteria for acceptable. It packed nicely, held most of what I needed for a 10 day cruise. A backpack held the rest. It came through baggage handling with nary a scratch. My only reservation is that the polycarbonate feels flimsy. I'm not sure one trip is a true test but it made it just fine. I liked having the TSA friendly locks, an illusion of added security. I am planning on purchasing the carryon size for my next trip ... show more
