If you're like me, you may spend hours going through reviews, scrutinizing, and debating. I do that even for things that don't matter much, and I did that for this purse. Bottom line - I'm really happy I made this purchase. It holds exactly what I need it to - phone, wallet, sunglasses, chapstick, etc, while still being small and compact. I purchased it for traveling and felt additional peace of mind with the zipper security features - and found myself using it often when we got back from the trip as well! It's simple, no fuss, but nice enough that you could use it with just about any outfit (it's not going to bling or stand out, but it won't clash either, and it's functional). Good quality, looks a little sleeker and nicer than many 'travel security' type purses out there.

This little bag will perfectly fill the bill for a nice looking compact bag for a few dressier evenings on a trip to Japan. I love that the straps and side panels are slash proof, the zippers can be secured with carabiner type latches that hook to rings on the closed side of the zipper and that the inside lining pockets are RFD protected. Two straps are included, a short wrist strap (though that seems to defeat the purpose of all the security features) and a longer strap that can be adjusted for cross body or as a shoulder strap. The total length of the long strap is 54”, easily shortened to a good length for me (I’m 5ft tall) or a much taller person. The strap is 3/4” wide so more substantial than a skinny strap and doesn’t cut into your shoulder. Out of the box the strap was pretty stiff but it was delivered on a very cold day so I am hoping it will soften and get over it’s stubborn bends. There is a snap pocket across the whole width and depth of the back. Inside, the magenta lining has an open passport size pocket, 3 RFD card slots on one side and a zippered pocket on the other side. The front of the bag has a wide lockable zippered pocket. One reviewer said the straps attach to loops at the half way point down the side but those are actually the zipper lock rings. The strap rings are just inside the back snap pocket near the top of the bag so the bag will not tip as the reviewer cautioned if the strap is attached to the intended rings. The bag is 9” wide, 6” tall and 1 1/2” wide at the bottom - perfect size for your travel evenings when you are done with photography, tour guide books and shopping and just looking forward to an elegant dinner. What a nice little bag! I’m very pleased with it.

The media could not be loaded. My absolute perfect size, weight. Fantastic fabric and finishes! So much more than I expected. I've loved the brand's functionality for years, but always a little embarrassed to carry for anything other than being a tourist. Even then, I always felt a little like I was wearing an 'I'm a tourist' sign - same for PacSafe. Bravo Travelon! Beautiful! I love that Travelons always include a hook/clip on the inside. Love the RFID zipper pocket. Love the roomy front locking zip pocket and the snap pocket in the back. As with all Travelons I've had, I wish the interior were not so slippery and that there was some security over the credit card slip pockets because my cards and passport tend to slip out if I happen to stuff the bag in my backpack upside down. Maybe more rigidity in that section, or a velcro tab or something? Here's where the big missed opportunities are for me.... I love a waist purse. This bag is perfectly set up for that use in addition to cross-body and wristlet. It's actually the reason I purchased it. Sadly the strap makes that impossible. And it's not because of the design. It's something so simple it seems a little odd. I'm an average sized woman (5' 5", size M 10/12). Even doubled over, the total length of the strap is 34". When added to the 7" between the hook rings on the back of the bag, the minimum circumference is so large I can slide it down over my hips and take it off. Interestingly, even configured as a cross-body, there is still 16" of excess strap. Is anyone tall enough to need that much strap length? Another odd thing may be a manufacturing flaw. It may also be a design flaw. The way the lining is sewn into bag, at least on my particular bag, causes the zipper to stick. See video. As I keep trying it, I do see that it adds an extra layer of theft protection! If I can't get it open, presumably neither can a pickpocket! Unadvertised security feature???? I'm hoping with some weight in the back it begins to work better.

I used this bag for an 11 day trip to Italy along with a Travelon backpack in the same color. They both worked really well together depending on the day and how much I needed or wanted to carry. I bought the blue, and it is a really neutral navy color. I had no issues with the zippers besides some of the gold coloring coming off. I love that you can lock the one outer zipper, which I kept toward my body when we were out. You can also lock the main zipper. This size was enough to carry my phone, small thing of tissues, hand sanitizer, masks, sunglasses when not wearing, passport, money, and a few other small things. It is adjustable, and I made the strap smaller and longer depending on the day. I did wear it also as a belt bag a few times. My bag laid flat against my hip area, so I did not have the issues some of the other reviewers mentioned about it flipping upside down. I highly recommend!

I like all the safety features as well as the size. I didn't like that not all mentioned their dimensions. Finally found the perfect size with a light colored lining where it's easy to spot items! This purse was recommended by 2 friends.

I used this bag on a trip recently and it worked great for me. It is a small bag so if you carry a lot this won't work for you. I was able to fit my phone, passport, boarding passes, chapstick, cash, credit cards and my reading glasses. I did not have any troubles with the bag tipping things out when I opened it as another reviewer stated. Great choice if you are looking for a compact travel bag.
