I looked at a numerous makes and models of security backpacks. I wanted something that was secure, but easy enough for me to unlock when I am in a hurry (ie: at airport security or customs). I also needed to take into account that I am a vertically challenged (4'11"), somewhat aged (won't say how old) person. I ordered three different styles of backpacks. Two from Travelon and one from Pacsafe. This backpack is the one I ended up keeping. It is a big smaller than the backpacks that my daughter used in school. But, it can comfortably fit my iPad Pro 11", a sweatshirt, all my electronic charging cables, snacks, pens, and purse (it's a rather small purse). The clips are easy for me to hook and unhook. I could imagine some people might think it doesn't provide enough security. I guess someone with clippers could cut the hook. But, as I said, I was trying to balance safety and ease of use. The front pouch pockets are arranged nicely. This was one of the reasons I kept this backpack. I like to have my this organized when I travel .. my family might say I organize too much ;) This backpack definitely fit the bill for keeping my littler items, notepad, pens, and snacks organized. ... show more

This has been the best backpack I’ve ever owned. But I’ve had to do FOUR warranty replacements because it just can’t stand up to the amount of travel and daily use I need it to. You should still try it, but it’s just not doing it for me.

I took this bag on a trip to Italy! It held a good amount for day tripping and my over packing. Lol. Did not get robbed in any of the high traffic tourist areas I was warned about.

I have used it once on travel, it was good. Laptop compartment is a tight fit for a Lenovo T440P, a 14" laptop whose battery protrudes out the rear. Feels like nice materials and seems like a quality build. I did spray it with anti-static spray to hopefully keep it from attracting my pet's hairs. I had a sticky liquid spill in the main compartment and it wiped up easily. The one I have is black; it is ALL black. I added some reflective bling for visibility. I like the hand loop on top; I can add my own handle cushion. It fits the United Airlines personal item size limit of 9"x10"x17". Styling is nice, clean and smooth; appropriate for business. Provided pockets work fine for me; love the pen loops and their placement. The cons: (1) The outermost compartment is flat and smaller than I had hoped. A letter-size paper folded in half cannot fit. I would have to fold the paper again to get it in there. (2) The middle compartment zipper only zips one way. (3) Zippers do not accommodate a luggage padlock. Yeah I know the lock is almost no security but it will add a layer of inconvenience for opportunistic thieves. (4) The chest strap that connects the two shoulder straps is too short; cannot use but that's ok. (5) I can do nothing with the extra length of shoulder strap. Have to figure out what to do with all that extra strap hanging. (6) I have no idea how to use the shoulder strap "locking hardware". (7) May be a con for some that the compartments do not unzip all the way to the bottom. (8) May be a con for some that there are zero attachment points. ... show more

    • Roomy backpack with well though out security features

The locking zippers, cut resistant tactic, and armored straps make this backpack secure. I found the design to have ample storage. I was able to pack my laptop, external screen, camera with additional lenses, and assorted cables and office supplies. Good construction and light weight.

I bought this in anticipation of a trip to Norway. When the bag arrived, I was pleased with it's size and safety features, including zippered interior pockets, zipper pulls that can be attached to loops on the bag to secure them, and slash resistant straps. All was well until I started to pack for the trip and as I started to put items into the bag, I noticed that the stitching of the zipper on the front pocket was defective---the side of the zipper cloth was not secured for over an inch along the middle of the pocket. Because I bought the bag over a month ago, I can't return it to Amazon. I have contacted the manufacturer and sent them the picture of the gaping area where the zipper should be attached. I am waiting to hear back from them. ... show more

I have used this backpack during my travels in Mexico and it has been great. Lots of room for my stuff and it is a mostly comfortable backpack. I like the size and I like that it is stylish. It also fits under bus/airplane seats and is durable. The only negative I would say is that it isn’t comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It is hard to adjust and doesn’t breathe well when it is hot. This backpack would be great in a cooler climate, and I am sure there are directions somewhere on how to adjust the straps. ... show more
