After comparing several of the Travelon bags, I got two of these for our recent Med cruise. Perfect size for our day trips, and not cumbersome or too heavy after a long day of walkabout. The bottle holder is actually large enough to hold a Klean Kanteen. A travel umbrella fit in the other outside pouch when needed. I knew there was an issue with pickpockets in Europe, so I was carrying an empty wallet as an experiment. It was gone within the first couple minutes in the market. Given that, the locking zippers and other anti-theft features inspired me with confidence - no more issues for two weeks. My typical loadout (outside travel docs, credit cards, cash) was: travel size disinfecting wipes, toilet seat covers, Shout To Go packs, sunscreen, pen, Sharpie, measuring tape, drink mixes, Altoids tin first aid kit, small monocular, manicure kit, candy bar charger in case, protein bars, poncho, light stick, lighter, point-and-shoot camera (extra battery pack and SHDC cards), phone, and guidebooks. It doesn't look as luxurious as a normal "fashion" purse, but I forgive it. The water resistant capabilities and cut-safety material make it hard to produce a product comparable to a dressy purse. However, if you're not huge into dressy purses, then this is perfect! It's a great size and really keeps your mind at ease whether you are abroad (I went to Peru and one of my fellow travel mates had someone go into their back pants pocket to try to get their wallet!) or at home. You can never be too safe. Although it does take a couple extra seconds to clasp the safety devices you don't always have to clasp them. And since there's three separate compartments all with clasps, if you have one pocket you get into a lot, leave it unclasped, or if one pocket only has gum and you're okay if it gets stolen then leave that compartment unclasped but still zipped. I personally love this purse and the safety it provides. If you do want a fancier purse (or bigger/smaller/different), but one that keeps safety at the forefront too, check out the Travelon website, find your perfect fit, and then google it on Amazon and see if its cheaper here. There are a lot of choices and I've got to say, I'm a little jealous of a grey one my friend got, it is really cute!! ... show more

I researched so many travel bags and decided on this one. So glad I did! I love it. It is the perfect size (I'm 5'2" and wore cross-body style). It holds a ton of stuff. I took it to Europe and carried all our passports, my glasses, camera, phone, extra powerbank for our electronics, my kindle (while in transit), credit cards, id, and money along with all the little things chapstick, tissues, etc. and it never felt really heavy and I was able to keep everything neat and organized. They advertise a bag very much larger than the one received. The product description lists size as 20 x 5 x 14 inches AND IS THE REASON I BOUGHT THE BAG. Actual measurement closer to 10x x10 x3. I'm a big fan of Travelon anti-theft bags, because they offer quality, dependability, functionality and security. In addition to my new Travelon Anti-Theft Travel Bag, I also own two Travelon Anti-theft Crossbody Bucket Bags. Both have their benefits. My older bucket bags are bigger (10x14x4), so they can accommodate more. The bucket bags are more fluid and have more give for bulkier items, so you can really fill them up. While this new bag is smaller (8x10x 3.5), it holds an amazing amount of gear, and since its shape is firm and fixed, the items stay in place and don't roll around for a more organized internal space. I like that feature. Both bags have outside zippered pockets meant for water bottles, umbrellas and other long cylindrical items. There's so much you can do with these purses that they aren't just for travel, but come in handy for everyday use as well. Thanks Travelon! ... show more

This is the best bag ever for traveling. I bought it just before a trip and I'm so glad I did. I love how all the zippers have a clip to attach them to the bag (so someone cannot easily walk by and open your bag without you knowing). I love all the different compartments. It has so many different compartments (of different sizes too) so it was great for separating things and made it easy to find what I needed quickly. Love the outside area for the water bottle but also that it zips up if you don't have a water bottle. Love that there was a secure area inside the bag to hold your credit cards (with the RFID blocking card). Also a secure place for my passport and a zippered pocket I kept my money in too. I truly cannot say enough about this bag. I travel internationally a lot (usually on a tour) and was always using different types of bags or sewing in pockets etc for what I needed. All the bags or backpacks I used before were either not the right size, have enough different sized compartments or were just flat out unattractive! ... show more

I just returned from a nearly 6 week trip and carried this purse almost every waking minute. It was perfect. It looks as new as when I first got it. I love the closures that keep the zippers from being easily opened. I was in areas known for pick-pockets and had no fear of anything being taken out of the purse. It isn't too big, but was able to carry everything I needed: Credit cards, cash, the family's passports, a small shopping bag, small umbrella, small water bottle, phone, small flashlight, and a few small miscellaneous items. The anti knife-slash properties were never tested. My only complaint was that after carrying it all day my shoulder started to get tired and I would have to change shoulders. A pad on the shoulder strap would have been nice. ... show more
