Ultimax II combines style and features from our beloved MaxPorter II to become one our customers' most loved collections! Made with 100% Makrolon® Polycarbonate hard shell that is extremely durable and impact resistant. Shield-98™ technology protects the interior lining of the luggage. Heavy duty YKK® double coil, puncture resistant zipper (RCW) on main compartment is three times stronger than others. This effectively prevents the chain from being easily punctured with sharp objects under high pressure Patented T-Cruiser Handle system allows you to maneuver your bag with ease. Downward curvature of the handle fits the natural position of your hand, thereby minimizing discomfort or fatigue. Patented dual cyclone spherical spinner wheel system provides wide wheel bases for better traction and stability. Wheels are recessed to maximize case size and packing capacity. This bag was outstanding for me. I needed to ship many supplies from my artist studio from NY to France and back again through a luggage service. It contained multiple art pads, wooden boxes with pastels, a folding stool, paintbrush rolls, several pencil cases, clothing, shoes, day pack and a fifes canvas boards. The same things also had to make a return trip. The bag was solid and rolled well with a 55 lb load. The zipper held tight and the shelving was very useful to make compartments so things didn’t slide around. All I can say is “wow”. This bag was opened along each leg by customs and there wasn’t a scratch on it at either end of it’s voyages….and this was without the included plastic cover. By itself the bag is quite light for its size and all the handles just add to the manageability. I very much recommend this bag if you have a size able amount to check at the airport, or in this case ship through a luggage service. ... show more

I bought this trunk for three weeks in Europe specifically due to its weight. It’s very lightweight and many of the airlines in Europe have very strict weight limits. I packed three weeks worth of clothes (using packing cubes) including three pairs of shoes, and this baby is a workhorse. It is easy to access. It stands up like Barbie’s wardrobe trunk! You can open the suitcase without having to lay it down to access your items but the best part is the 2/3, 1/3 split! the 2/3 side holds so much stuff -the 1/3 side held my shoes and my make up and toiletries bags. The zippers are smooth and sturdy, the TSA approved lock is secure and easy to program. The wheels on this baby are amazing!! Traveling through Europe on cobblestone Streets, bricks, stairs, escalators, uneven surfaces— on four different Airlines, three different trains. This luggage is a godsend. As you can see there are a few scuffs on the outside, but no dents, no punctures… and no damage to anything inside! It comes with a clear plastic protector that was awesome for the in-country/inter-continental flights as you don’t have to go through customs when in the EU!! It protected my luggage from the rain, and there are slits in the protector to access the handles. (In 3 airports there were vendors selling luggage wrapping - they spin the luggage round and round and round and wrap it a bunch of times with plastic saran wrap for £13-15!) The extension handle is a Little loose feeling as the uprights are kind of close together but my bag when loaded weighed about 20kg and I had no issues with the handle’s stability or durability! This is a truly awesome piece of luggage! I highly recommend it! And the price is fantastic— I looked at the fancy bags from Tumi, Away and other high end luggage brands, and you would be hard-pressed to tell me why you’d pay 2 or 3 times as much for one of those when this bag is totally comparable in every way.. and IMHO has the advantage with the 2/3-1/3 split vs 1/2 & 1/2 styles! I am absolutely thrilled with this bag’s performance, durability and looks! 5 stars for sure!!! ... show more

Bought two of these for my kids for a two week European trip. The trip included a different stop almost every night so they got a lot of use. They roll really well over lots of different surfaces and I love the multiple handles. The hinges held up well with heavy loads and being opened every day. Smooth zippers, secure TSA lock, and love the feel of the uniquely shaped handle. Plus they look great and are tough enough to be tossed around by luggage handlers. Luggage is just luggage, but there are some things about this piece that I love and wanted to quickly rave about: - The color means I always find my bag immediately -- I have yet to see the same bag, given how much I travel. - The compartments are nice and of good quality. You see some companies cut corners on the interior, so it was nice to see the quality on the inside as well. - Polycarbonate shell means this baby is super durable, and has held up great this past year. - The wheels! The are super smooth and seem to be holding up great as well. - The handle is strange, but I've gotten used to it. - MOST IMPORTANTLY: I can max this bag out, and still still stay under domestic weight limits. That means this is the biggest bag I can max out without having to worry about extra fees. That peace of mind is everything. The value is solid as well, especially after a year's use. Just finished my first trip with this luggage. 14 days in Portugal. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Huge interior space capacity and still within standard sizes for a checked bag. Organization system and trunk style was fantastic as we changed hotels 5 times. Wheels were incredibly durable and functional over many European cobblestones. Hard case showed only minimal scuffs and dirt after tsa, customs and nearly 48 hours of travel/transfers/trains/layovers. Cleaned up easily afterwards with Windex and a magic eraser and now looks brand new. The locking mechanism was also easy to use and the multi height handle was helpful for me (5’2” and my partner 6’2”).
