Because this is a multi listing I want to be clear that I am reviewing Traveler's Choice Novia Top Opening Expandable Polycarbonate Luggage with Spinner Wheels - Green. I am an extremely loyal TravelPro bag users so it take a LOT for me to like anything else. I really like this bag. First things first - I would consider this a carry on bag only. As hard shells go it feels pretty sturdy but I have seen too many bags like this cracked open like clams coming off the baggage carrousel. In a pinch I would gate check this. This is listed as a 21 inch carryon but it has external wheels so it is smaller than my two wheels 21 inch bag. I am a big "two wheel drag bag" person but the wheels on this have me thinking. They are really nice and the bag moves extremely well. The zippers are also your lock. Personally I would leave this at zeros because Im never going to check it in but you can decide what you want to do. The zippers were a little stiff the first go but quickly slide free. Opening it up you have two pockets in the "lid" - one "normal" and one water proof. Nice feature. Note that the zipper is not sealed so in a major liquid spill, you might get some leakage. The "normal" pocket seems to be designed as a tech bag. There are two compressions straps in the bag and a stiff lid with a pocket to push down on them. This allows you to create two "zones" if you want with the pocket wall thing separating them. Alternately you can use it to compress the entire contents while also reliving pressure on the main lid. In the main compartment there are two side pockets - one "normal" and the other designed for a battery. You plug in your USB-C charger to the included USB-C cable and then you have two external power ports on the bag. This is great for when you want to get a charge but dont want to unpack anything. And since there are two ports, you can help a friend too. By having the battery separate instead of built in, charging is easier, TSA wont yell at you and you are not stuck with a bag with a dead battery 5 years form now. There is one more pocket in the compartment - for an air tag. Really nice feature if you end up needing to check this. The bag can be expanded by about 2 inches using an external zipper - see picture, banana for scale. I would only use this in a pinch but its nice to know its available. There is a close in handle on the top of the bag and another "hidden" handle on the bottom of the bag making loading and unloading a breeze. The main extendable handle has a nice feel and looks very sturdy. Its slightly higher than what I am used to but very comfortable. This is a really really nice bag with some great features. To me the optimal use case is as a "hotel bag" if you are traveling by car or a carry on with a larger checked bag. It doesnt quite have all the features or size I need for carryon only travel but I dont think its trying to be that kind of bag. Excellent product. ... show more

This is a very versatile carry-on from Traveler's Choice which is a company that makes very good quality luggage. I have several other of their pieces and I am very happy with them. The thing that makes this piece great is not only is it expandable, but it has many built in pockets for your various needs. Some are frosted vinyl, some are netting, some are solid nylon. It also has a built in space for your laptop, which while not removable, can be positioned to be at the very front of the opening for easy access. This case is top opening, so it works like a foot locker and all the space is usable. Because it is expandable, you can use it for what I would say is up to a four day trip. It has the same TSA lock as their other quality cases. It also has a a charging port for your devices with both USB-A and USB-C outputs. However, one great improvement they have made is that input side for the optional battery is USB-C meaning that you can take full advantage of fast charging for your device. In their other luggage that I own, the input is USB-A only with a both USB-A and USB-C outputs. This limits the charging capability. It also has a a dedicated pocket for an Apple AirTag or other tracking device. The only thing I don't like about this piece are the zipper pulls for opening the top. They are shaped in a strange way which made it difficult for me to open the case in one quick zip. The zipper kept getting caught because the when you use the pull it turns as you go around the case which caused mine to bind. I highly recommend this piece. ... show more

This is a very nice carry-on suitcase by Traveler’s Choice. It’s the first carry-on I’ve had that doesn’t have a clamshell opening. It does save space not having to open the whole suitcase up. The slate blue is a nice color and looks sharp with the black accents. The polycarbonate material feels nice and sturdy. The zippers all glide smoothly. It has a lot of nice features including built in TSA locks, an AirTag holder, an internal pocket for your portable charge to plug in that can be reached on the outside of the suitcase, a couple internal pockets including a small wet pouch, and the board to compress your luggage, which can be removed if needed. It also has a handle on the top and the side which make maneuvering the luggage easy, especially when putting it into an overhead bin on a plane. The wheels glide incredibly smooth. The telescoping handle is easy to pull up and put back down. The handle is one area though I feel it could be improved though, but not enough to knock off a star. It seems slightly weak but only time will tell. Everything else about this suitcase is stellar.
