In these days of charges for everything that used to be included in your plane tickets, this is a way to avoid the luggage fees. The wheels are tucked in so there is more space in the bag for your stuff. And you don't have to worry about the bag making a break for it on a slanted surface. I have only traveled once with it. The average maneuverability rating is because it is a bit wide to easily roll it down the aisle but it does fit. It looks sturdier than I thought it was going to be. I bought it because it is cheaper to use it on one trip and throw it away than it is to pay checked baggage fees. I am happy that I can use this luggage on a second trip.

It is so hard to find a 2-wheel carry-on these days, with the rugged embedded wheels instead of those ridiculous flimsy spinning wheels that most bags have these days. This is the perfect design for what I was seeking. It has rugged wheels, to get down the sidewalk and cobblestones, and the wheels are inset so that you get the maximum amount of storage for the carry-on size. The color options are fun as well so you can find it in the sea of black cases. It expands nicely and has a nice useful layout of pockets. And, it is incredibly lightweight! And the price was very attractive. The only drawback is that it does not feel that it is going to hold up for very long. I've had this for about six months (traveled with it about a half dozen times). So far, it is fully in tact. The vinyl handles are tearing but they seem like they might be reinforced under the vinyl tear so they may hold up even if they look like they will fall off. The retractable handle seems flimsy but has not broken. Because it is so lightweight, the shape of the case isn't overly rigid and can get a little distorted if you are pushing it to capacity (it can feel a little like a duffle bag at times). Overall, I really like this bag but durability is a concern.

If you are handy the handle can be fixed. Get 1/4" x 3/4" screws, washers, locking nuts and some strapping to repair. The hardest part is grabbing the old rivet to drill out, from the inside, using a 1/4 bit. I cut the nylon strap and made some holes in it with a soldering iron. Drilled out the old rivets trying not to move the handle but still had to line up everything (strap, metal handle tab and frame) with a screwdriver from the inside to assemble. I did both outside screws then went ahead and added the two inside screws with my 1/4 bit drilled through the frame. I might not have needed the inside screws, but I was on a roll and figured why not, made it just a little bit stronger. UPDATE: Looking back this is more work than really necessary. Just replace the horrible rivets with a couple of 1/4-20 screws, washers and locking nuts. Hardest part is still drilling out the old rivets!

Got the 25 inch suitcase. It is lightweight and maneuvers well enough. I wouldn't describe it as flimsy, but it doesn't feel like it would survive too many hard jerks. I am not worried about breaking it myself, but maybe a bad baggage handler could do some damage if abused. It did survive the first 3 flights no problem so definitely recommend this for a budget traveler. I am thinking about getting the 21 inch carry on then I can make sure it gets taken care of and also can skip the check in line.

I purchased this for my flight to Europe. After checking it in, the airline lost it for 5 weeks. Once it arrived at my home, I inspected the suitcase (packed completely full) and found that although it went through the excessive redirection of multinational airport baggage handling, the suitcase was still in prime working order without any damage, even from the excessive handling. To test it again, we booked a last-minute trip to the west coast USA, where my spouse and I shared the suitcase. On this trip, it maneuvered nicely (for a large suitcase) and weathered the abuse of domestic baggage handling. Overall - great for the price!

My wife and I decided to purchase another set of luggage. My current suitcase (which I have owned for nearly 15 years) still looks like New but is carry-on size and we needed to pack much more for this trip. I found this set and it appeared to be unisex and a fair price. I was very happy to have received it. After it's 1st trip on an airline, it looked as if it went through a battle zone. The fabric was showing excess wear, and it was filthy. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd a thought it was 8-10 years old. I know the airlines aren't the easiest on luggage but I was shocked as to the condition after 1 trip. I literally had to get fabric cleaner and scrub the whole front. Only time will tell how long it will hold up!
