    • Good Male & Female mannequin with realistic injection & catheterization uses
Positive: This training mannequin is effective for teaching nurses and midwives in rural setting in Ethiopia. We needed something simple & non electronic to teach students basic injections at multiple sites, urinary catheterization for male and female and enema skills. There is a realistic material at the injection sites that helps the students get the feel of giving a real injection and it can be used multiple times. There are also replacement parts for the injection sites get worn. We could bend the knees to position the pt for realistic catheterization or birthing position but can't simulate birth of baby through vagina. it cost a little more than others but the changeable male/female made it worth the price. You can practice chest compressions for CPR There are ports in the abdomen (for colostomy care?) & trachetomy ports than we might not use & injection site at spine to practice spinal taps I presume. The mannequin washes easily after getting betadine on it for prep's. It weighs approx 35 lbs and we did have challenges getting it through customs. official letters helped. negatives: wish you could put fluid in bladder to have "urine" flow, the nasogastric tube did not slide down the nasal passage & there are useless directions in chinese but overall it will be effective practice mannekin for students who had nothing to practice on. I wrote this review because as I studied all the options on ebay & amazon, there was a dearth of reviews by people that actually have purchased and used the product.. If i have updates after it is used by our students I will include them later. ... show more

I just received the product 15 minutes ago. The head was torn. I have messaged the seller and I hope to hear back & receive a replacement head. However, the rest of the product looks very good.
