Pieces were not labeled, and the back is flimsy. The shelves are sturdy. Although it says concepts in wood, this is mdf with a veneer. Nice looking, definitely takes two people to assemble

I bought and assembled this bookcase over 1 year ago and it has been loaded with heavy books and decor since then. Very sturdy once assembled and the shelves are sturdy (no sagging) when loaded with heavy books. The shelves are adjustable, except for the ones as shown in the image without the other shelves installed. This bookcase was easy to assemble and went together much like other ‘flat packed’ furniture which included all the required hardware. Some steps did require help from another person. I did use some quality wood furniture adhesive on the wooden dowel pins and the major assembly joints for added strength as this bookcase will remain permanently assembled. The stain color is evenly applied and finish is quite good. It’s best to move the bookcase empty into position before adding any items. I am really happy that I researched and purchased this shelf. It is sturdy and well made and just the size for what I need. Excellent value for many. Only concern is putting the shelf together, took me about 4 hours with some help in the end to put it together once I assembled the majority of the components. What I would suggest is to clearly mark the items with a sticker or sticky not before even attempting to assemble and put the pieces together. Once I did that it went super fast. ... show more

Very happy with the look. Easy enough to assemble (with 2 people and a power screwdriver). Once assembled it is very heavy and hard to move. If possible, assemble where you want it. You will need about 7 sq feet of floor space for assembly.
