Let me start by confessing that I've quickly become a fan of TOZO's products and customer service having purchased several of their products in the past and communicated with their team through email. I have been really impressed by their value and price point as well as their response time to my questions. So while I was confident when making this purchase, I had no real-world experience with their chargers, but I did have high expectations. I purchased TOZO's W10 Wireless Magnetic Charger specifically for my wife's new iPhone 12. My rational was that if I could find a quality wireless magnetic charger for half of what Apple charges for their MagSafe Charger, I could spend the $20 in savings on a 20W USB-C power adapter and bring her phone's charging capabilities into 2021. Well, I'm happy to say that for less that $40, I accomplished my goal...and then some! Please note, this item does not include a charging adapter. TOZO's betting that you have something lying around to plug this into. And chances are very good that you do. And with that being said, let's talk shop. THE W10 DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It's a powerful, well-built, and surprisingly compact charger. This charger can accommodate most phones and accessories with its ability to charge at 5W, 10W or 15W - depending on your device's capabilities. It houses two magnetic directly beneath its "landing pad". The larger of the two magnets is almost a complete circle roughly the width of the charger and about two-thirds of the length of the pad. The second is a small rectangular magnet located directly below the circle magnet. Both are indicated by a gray circle and a vertical dash printed on the flat landing pad. The magnets do a great job grabbing the iPhone 12's sweet spot providing you don't have a case on it. But who does that? Well, certainly not my wife. She has a thin silicone case which will find the magnets but it tests her patience more often than not. I don't seem to have that problem so I think it'll just be a matter of time before she knows where to place it before making the slight adjustments needed to engage the charging process. And this is where I discovered "and then some!" I was so focused on finding a solution to charging an iPhone 12 that I completely overlooked the fact that this is a universal Qi charger that just happens to have a couple magnets buried in it's casing. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that the W10 was not only a very capable iPhone 12 charger but it can effortlessly charge almost all of my wireless device. This included my Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Watch, my TOZO ear buds - anything Qi compatible. So needless to say, we now "share" this charger. Winning! Regarding the build, I'm not sure if the "landing pad" is plastic or not but it definitely feels like a softer material than the rest of its housing. And I appreciate this fact as I personally do toss my Note's glass back squarely on this pad with no concern. TOZO claims the back and sides are made of "Aviation Aluminum" and I found no reason to doubt their claim. It feels very solid throughout and I appreciate the design choice to incorporate a small polished silver bevel where the casing meets the pad. Sharp. The bottom line is that I think you'll have a very hard time damaging this charger whether it stays on your desk or repeatedly thrown in your backpack for day trips. I do have a few nit-picks on their design, beginning with the cable. I wish they would have designed the cable to be detachable, with a USB-C port replacing the hardwired cable. This would almost guarantee this charger would survive WWIII. The cable is reinforced but only time will tell if it survives the rigors of travel. Small stuff. And speaking of that same cable, kudos to TOZO for including a USB-C to USB-A adapter to ensure that you do have something laying around to power this charger. Nice addition TOZO! My second nitpick is the lack of a LED light to inform you that it's ready to charge. No biggie whatsoever but how cool would it be if either the gray circle or dash lit up when it had power? Maybe with the W10 PRO LOL?? And my last nit-pick, please make another color available on Amazon! TOZO's packaging shows a total of nine available colors but Amazon only offers black. BOO! I'm sure I could find it if I spent a little time but I'm a slave to Amazon just like the rest of you. I would have definitely chosen pink had I been given the choice. All in all, TOZO's W10 is a terrific value at a fair price. With a solid build, a cool design, and the ability to charge at various rates depending on the device's specs - it checked off all of my boxes I was looking for in a $20 wireless charger. This is not your average wireless charger. This device, which boasts a 10W Qi-certified fast charging capability, is super slim and lightweight, making it an incredibly sleek addition to your tech set-up. What's fantastic about this charger is that it works even with thick phone cases, which was a real game-changer for me. See, I've been using a combo case/wallet for years, and I've had problems with other chargers not being able to accommodate the extra bulk. But the TOZO W1 handles it like a champ, even when the case is overstuffed with cards. Another a huge plus that the charger doesn't overheat my phone unlike other wireless chargers I often use. I've been so impressed that I've bought several of these chargers for my office, desk, and nightstand. On the downside, it's not quite as fast as some of the higher-priced wireless chargers out there. However, for the price and the functionality, it's a trade-off I'm more than willing to make. In summary, the TOZO W1 Wireless Charger is a slim, efficient solution for anyone needing to charge through a thick phone case. First, this charger looks fantastic. I got the black one and with the glass on the top, the inset lights, and the silver edge... it just looks sleek. Its super thin and as others have commented if you have a chunky charging cable then it won't sit flat but mine does. It stays in place on the table well and even though the top is glass, it holds my phone easily. I use a Pixel 7 pro with a case and it charges through it with no problems. The lights are not obnoxiously bright and are a convenient indicator if your phone is in the right spot. Even with a case I do not have a hard time seeing the lights. It also seems to enable the charge in any orientation, not just one as others have commented. The charge is a little slower than similar chargers which doesn't bother me. Mostly because it is easy to get the phone in position to charge and easy to see when it is in the correct position. Other chargers are much much more sensitive and don't have large indicator lights. Now for the one drawback - Charging from low battery states. I have a few chargers like this because my phone sees a lot of use and being able to set it down and let it slowly charge at my desks is super convenient. Sometimes when charging overnight from a low battery state ~ less than 10%, it will not fully charge and instead will stop charging at roughly 50%. I am not sure if this is an issue with the phone or charger. It has happened more than once. It only happens during overnight charging from low battery levels. If I start charging at like 30% or more then there is no issue. If you NEED 100% in the mornings then I would not trust this charger to get you there if you have low battery at the start. Its easy enough to just unplug it and plug the phone directly in in those cases. That single drawback isn't much though and for me its a nonissue. Would recommend. ... show more
