I don’t understand how this has any positive reviews. it has a HORRIBLE high pitched sound whenever it’s on. any kind of pressure and it stops working. So you can’t even form anything with it. My sons 8 he tried it for like 30 min a gave up.

It's messy, so definitely an outdoor or shop activity :) My daughter has been really exploring all kinds of arts, and she wanted to try pottery. This is a nice, simple and easy beginners pottery wheel kit. The clay is air dry, which is great for our impatient little ones that won't have to wait on a kiln to finish the pottery. Comes with everything needed to give start making pottery. Several tools are included to create different designs, and styles while forming pots or bowls. The clay can be painted, so it opens up additional projects to keep the kids busy! I'd say it's definitely a beginners set, as you can only make small objects, but for someone just learning, it has everything needed to do just that and my daughter's having fun learning a new form of art. ... show more
