This kite is made of light-duty ripstop nylon, with black pipe cleaners for the antennas. There’s no snap-swivel included to fasten the line to the kite so be sure and get one. The sockets and pockets are well-made and provide secure anchorage for the spars. It’s very attractive and eye-catching, and the 4.5-foot width is impressive. The lower spars are a little thin for my taste so between that and the very light fabric I’ll be careful with this one. On the other hand it’s unexpectedly light and so should not need much wind. I ordered this butterfly kite for my granddaughter. It is made out of a really dense and strong feeling fabric. The bright bold colors are really striking. The kite is a complete kit with string on a handle, the support rods to reinforce the wings, and a bag to store and carry everything in. It was easy to follow the instructions to put this together. I was concerned because I saw small holes near some of the support attachments but they didn’t prevent the kite from flying. I watched for a late winter day that was warm and windy to try the kite, and when it went up, it was a fast kite. It’s bright and colorful with a very long tail. I was working with an almost three year old and a five year old and it didn’t stay up very long when they were holding on to it; I could guide it better as an adult. Fun kite, though. ... show more

This butterfly kite has great colors and the material is strong. The kite handles light winds well. It is extremely easy to assemble. Everything you need is included, including a bag to carry everything in. The current selling price is $14.97 which I consider to be a very fair price.
