I bought the robe in Teal Green, which I would describe as a deep Christmas green. The robe is a medium weight, not too thin so as to feel flimsy and not too thick and heavy so as to be cumbersome. It feels good to slip into it after a shower because it’s warm and absorbent. The sleeves stay securely rolled up and remain out of the way when doing household chores. I have had no problem with snagging, but I make sure not to wash and dry the robe with items containing zippers or other catchable pieces. I’m also careful about using a hairbrush so that the bristles don’t get caught in the loops. The robe is 50” long; I wish it was a couple of inches longer. I am 5’4” and bought the xl/xxl to get maximum length (plus I don’t think there is any such thing as a robe being too large), and the length hits me mid-calf. The belt loops and pockets are positioned a bit low, but I don’t see that as a deal breaker. Overall, I think the robe is a good value and I’m glad I bought it. ... show more

I am 5'3", about 120 lbs , size M in sweatpants and for a non-binding fit, size L in leggings and in LL Bean Saturday T-Shirts but could also wear size M in both. I bought the M/L in this robe (white) and it is a generous but not too big size after washing exactly according to instructions on the tag. It has a "sweep" measurement of 55 inches (that is the width of the bottom hem) and the width is the same at the waist. The belt is plenty long at 77 inches but the belt keeper loops are on the low side, in fact right at my hips. It measures 30 in. from center back, over the shoulder to the end of the sleeve and these are all important measurements that are missing. I bought it specifically to step out of the shower and wrap myself in the robe, un-towelled, and have its absorbency dry me after a few minutes. This robe is outstanding for that. The sleeves are wide enough to slip a wet arm through without catching and getting hung up halfway. I have no input about colors because sometimes the dye changes the texture of a fabric which is why I bought the white. Out of the package the single layer fabric felt thin but after turning inside out and washing in machine's "Warm/Warm" water setting and two cycles of dryer set on Low, it felt thicker. I got a decent amount of lint in the trap but not as much as I expected from some of the reviews. And it did not leave flecks of lint on my body or arms. I consider this a very good purchase, it does exactly what I hoped it would. It does feel pretty heavy on the bathroom hook but not excessively beyond what you would expect. The kimono collar lies flat and does not hang up on my hair at the back of the neckline nor have any other annoying characteristics. It is big enough to wrap around my body sufficiently enough to be closed unless I sit without reclosing it more at the legs but I think otherwise it would be too much excess fabric. In that way I can only say that it works for my purposes quite well. It does have inside ties but they are just ribbons and I wouldn't trust them to last if used which I don't and will probably cut them off so they don't get in the way by sticking to wet skin when putting the robe on. After looking at zillions of 100% cotton terry cloth robe listings, I'm very glad I bought this one. This is an ideal, cozy bath robe, soaking up water fast and providing ample coverage against chilly air. The Small/Medium size seems more like Large (I am 5'2", 125#). I strongly suspect S/M and L are one and the same, but I was afraid to take a chance even though I preferred the lighter blue. As I feared, the dark color bled like crazy even though I used a color-catcher sheet, so be sure to wash it separately. I was surprised the robe did not seem to shrink, although I wouldn't have minded. To me the quality is excellent for an affordably priced garment. I consider the fabric to be thick, not flimsy at all, but more loosely woven than the expensive ones. When you wash it you know it is 100% cotton, because it really soaks up the water and is so heavy my front-load machine would not spin due to the imbalance. You need to be prepared with a good place to line-dry very heavy materials. Altogether a great purchase, after years of waiting for an affordable, all-cotton bath robe. ... show more

    • EVERYTHING I HOPED IT WOULD BE!

This was exactly what I was looking for! I first bought a very heavy Turkish towel robe to replace my bath towel - because somehow "heavy" equated to "quality" in my mind, you know? Although it was cozy to slip on in the cold of winter, it was SO thick and heavy that it was difficult to towel off with. It also was quite large through the shoulders but narrow through the hips. I next tried a very lightweight waffle weave robe, to use in our hot summers. Again, comfortable and cool enough after a shower or bath, but not very effective as a towel, and again, the girth was too small. Because it was white, it showed stains from the rose oil I apply after bathing. This one is JUST RIGHT - I feel like Goldilocks, lol. It's a perfect weight - not too thick, not too thin - and quite absorbent. It fits much better through the shoulders, and there's plenty of material to keep it closed around the hips. (I wear size 18/20, with most of my weight in my rear.) The color is nice, too - and dark enough not to show oil spots. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

I like the way it fits. I'm 4'10" and the hem reaches somewhere between mid-calf and my ankle. The care instructions said to wash before first use; to turn inside out and take off the belt. The loops are sort of small and it is difficult to take the belt off and put it back on and adjust it to the right length but once it is adjusted correctly, it doesn't move around and the belt will not fall out of the loops. After I washed it, I noticed the seams on the inside of a sleeve were very frayed, so I cut them off with a scissor. It is very absorbent, so much so that I don't need to towel myself off too much, the bathrobe does a very good job of drying my body. It's not soft, but more on the rough side. Certainly not plush. After using it for the last six months, I find it snags very easily. ... show more
