It works great for my purpose. I bought this to use as a desk for the couch. I set it so the top lifts out towards me to rest over my lap so I have my mouse and keyboard in reach while sitting. The top lift is not the sturdiest while extending it and requires both hands to avoid damaging it. For my purpose I purchased a set of sliders for the legs and leave it extended at all times just sliding it in and away as needed. For that reason the flimsiness of the top while extending becomes a non issue for me. I love it and don't know how I ever got by without one. The pictures are taken from a seated position leaning fully back on the couch to demonstrate how well it works for my purposes for others that are interested in it for the same reason. ... show more

It was not hard to assemble. Directions were reasonably easy to understand. Pieces did not always go together as neatly as they should. However, the faults do not show. The table top is easy to raise and lower.
