While the product does what it says it does, I can only give it one star for sliminess of the company selling it. No where in the description where one is likely to see it, does it say that the company that sells the unit only claims to rent you the dispenser and that it prohibits you from using towels other than the ones it sells. Unless you click through the detailed description of the product (which I'm guessing many people like me do not), you only find that out when it arrives and you load it and see a sticker claiming this. I'm guessing the restriction is not valid under New York law where I live. Nonetheless, I find it offensive. Frankly, I am surprised Amazon allows them to purport to rent merchandise without being absolutely clear upfront. ... show more

This is a beautiful bathroom accessory and initially it worked WONDERFULLY to dispense towels in my guest bathroom. However, a little over eight months after purchasing it, it appears the spring has become weak and is unable to forcefully dispense the towels as it once did. After removing the towels and returning the dispenser carriage down to its lowest point, I heard a "pop" sound. After removing the dispenser top I noted that a thin piece of plastic had snapped that secured the spring-loaded dispenser base into the top carriage. Upon removing the top piece, it appears the towel platform is supported by a very thin spring which holds the towels into place. I believe this spring has lost its tension over time from the addition of the towels and now doesn't work as efficiently. A true shame since this is a beautiful piece and the only countertop dispensing system of its kind I can find. Tork needs to beef up their internal parts, particularly the spring, to have a top-notch product on their hands. ... show more

Gorgeous towel holder. I did not need to use tape it down and water spots were to a minimum. My problem is this is a commercial towel holder I used in my powder room. The spring sprung in 3 months time. Although it has a 1 year warranty and Amazon requested a return label from the seller it was refused. Unreliable product. ... show more

    • Stop the Paper Towel Roll Waste- One Sheet at a Time!

I don’t know what I did without this dispenser for so long!!! It’s amazing. My husband is a chronic paper towel abuser: a job that requires one or two sheets usually has him tearing off about 20, and instead of using the towel I keep for clean hands to avoid paper towel waste is ignored by him almost every time he nears water. I use Viva pop up paper towels frequently to moderate his excessive paper towel consumption (since they’re not attached to one another, he can’t just pull with wild abandon), but absolutely hated the loud boxes they come in. I know this says it will only take Tork brand towels, but the commercial folded towels are definitely super rough in texture compared to the Viva or Kleenex folded towels you can buy at stores. All I have to do is open the box of towels from the side, pull the towels out in one handful, and center them inside the dispenser before pushing down with even pressure. The mechanism inside puts enough pressure to where they stay in place, and I’ve never had issues with them getting messed up or not unfolding even though they have a little extra room on each side. I also entertain a lot, and at my last party this was amazing to put out near where everyone was pouring drinks in the kitchen. It looks so much nicer than an ugly roll of paper towels, and drips got wiped up immediately. I also highly recommend the stainless steel or white models instead of the black... both of those colors are much easier to clean and don’t show nearly as many smudges and finger prints. Doesn’t always pop up with towel. Spring on the inside does not work properly. Spring maybe rusted or not positioned right but I’m always having trouble with it and have to reach inside to get towel. Beats the purpose of having a towel pop up. Revised review. Having had difficulty with the paper popping up I decided to order the Tork paper. I purchased the soft towels by Tork and found that the first bunch of towels I used popped up perfectly. So my suggestion would be if you have difficulty with the spring popping up, you might using the Tork paper. ... show more

Did not fit the Tork MB 576 paper towels I bought to go with it. This holder will only fit towels 9” long by 3.5” wide. The Tork towels are 10” x 3.5”. Be careful to check the dimensions of the paper towel you are buying. It is way to expensive to not even fit the towels they recommend to go with it. Returned!!!!! ... show more

i've always hated hand towel dispensers. most of them tear the dang towel when you go to pull one. i ran across Tork after the soup kitchen we work with began to use them. i'm usually an a**hole to salesmen/commercials but this is the best dispenser/towels i have ever run across. the towels are cheaper than paper towels and soft enough to blow your nose with. we were impressed enough to buy some for the house and write this review. ... show more

Due to consumer reaction to Cov-19, the cost and scarcity of paper towel rolls caused me to look for an alternative for my powder room. After I purchased a box of trifold paper towels, I realized I couldn’t just lay them out loosely. Due to safety guidelines for Cov-19, the box couldn’t be returned to Costco’s. So I decided to make this purchase work. I stumbled on this countertop holder and took another chance. Yep, I’m spending more money on a goal to cut cost. I love this trifold paper towel countertop holder! It looks nice, has adhesive on the bottom to prevent slippage and easy to fill. I’ll save money in the long-run since the price per tri-fold sheet is cheaper. Also, the family uses fewer sheets now since the tri-folds come out one at a time and they are thicker than the paper towels on a roll. I am considering buying more of these holders for the kitchen and additional bathrooms but the price is twice what I want to pay. ... show more
