I thought it would be a good gift for my mom because it can calculate her steps per day. She has a Samsung and it connected perfectly with the watch. The price is very good compared to others. If you need a watch and don't want to spend so much money, I recommend this one.

It's important to know that you can't text back You can see the full message. Which is still good bc I have alot of health issues and my bf works in a warehouse with poor service & his phone has to stay on charger. So that being said he can see if it's emergency & go grab his phone off the charger. It does everything pretty well it monitored his sleep told him he only got two hours of restful sleep the first night he used it. It's a good watch to have it's perfect for low budget people. The battery stays well charged after you charge it up all the way the first time. He loves that he can take pictures buy pressing the button on the watch & they go to your phone they turn out a lot clearer too. It actually was one of my biggest hits this year for his Christmas & his 17 & 14 yr old boys want one now we got them tablets & a Xbox they have apple phones and loved this watch so know what I'm buying in a few months for theri birthdays I'll come BK and upload a few pic he's wearing it at work right now. He said he liked it just as the watch part itself the hands and color are really neat. I recommend this watch for first time purchase we said we can always go back and update later on. Other then sending text back which I knew bf I bought it Amazon was clear about it also let me be clear on that. I got it mainly bc it's waterproof he can takes showers which he has a few times and it still works perfectly. If you want a watch like that it calls for a s.d and sim and cannot be in water. so that's why I aimed on this one. I think this watch is a great gift again. I loved seeing how happy it made him. It's easy to setup just scan the barcode it comes with and it sets up to your phone with all your contacts etc. His neice got a apple watch and his mom wants to trade it for this watch as theri having trouble setting it up. It does just about everything a apple can do besides talk and text back. Also having trouble finding a screen protector which I also saw another customer said that in reviews bf I bought it you can't beat it though for the price. Just buy it already... ... show more

This watch functions very poorly. I rarely return anything and most I am quite happy with the various purchases I make on Amazon. I make a lot of them. This watch is a distinct exception and it is going back in less than 24 hours after I received it. First of all, it functions very poorly as a heart rate monitor. A simple pulse oximeter carried in one's pocket would be more functional. It requires many steps to get to the HR screen and once you are there, the reading is not esp accurate. It takes a long time to get to the screen then a long time to record the HR once you are there so that by the time you actually do get a number, the rate has declined significantly from its peak. Moreover, there is not a way to keep in HR mode as it readily reverts to the clock face. Speaking of the clock face, it is not esp useful and certainly not one I would choose. The website leads you to believe there is some choice in this regard but there is none. If you need to set the time, there is not a way to do so directly. You have to go through the app on your phone or tablet. It will connect to a tablet which sets it apart from many sports watches which will only connect to a phone. The app itself does not work esp well and there is absolutely no instructions which are of use in trying to figure out how to use this watch. One is sort of on his own. The "instruction booklet" - if you can call it that - is fairly useless and contains little that one would not already know. Basically it provides a code to be scanned so as to enable the app on one's tablet or phone. The problem is that once this connection is made, there is virtually no more information there than was in the booklet. To sum it all up, the watch does not measure HR easily and takes a long time to do so. By the time you actually get a reading, the rate has gone way down. The clock face is extremely unappealing and requires button pushing to even access it. I could find no way to change the dysfunctional clock face to a form which was a bit more appealing. Documentation on watch function is largely absent. Save yourself time and aggravation by simply buying a pulse oximeter or else a better quality sports watch. There is also not ... show more
