    • Tool held up great
Used this tool to install 3" torsion key lift on a '98 Ford Ranger. Cutting into the bracket on the Ranger to get the tool to fit was needed (and expected). Removal of stock key was easy, installing lift key was tricky as the key would rotate a little as the tool pushed it up and take the key out of it's seat and not allowing the keeper to be put into place. This was not a fault of the tool, but mainly due to limited angles because of the cutouts. The reason I mention this is the tool lifted and released the extreme tension on the lift key quite a few times before we finally got it in place and took it like a champ, we put it through the wringer. Just make sure to keep it greased up and it should work fine for you. We also used a long breaker bar and no impact, that might help with not stripping the threads also. ... show more

    • grease threads before use
this works pretty good but threads wear very easy once it tensions up a bit and used a 3/4 hand Ranchet wrench to to hopefully avoid this instead of impact. i greased the threads up first and it helped that from destroying the tool.

    • Don't buy this for a Ford product.
This will not work for Ford vehicles despite what the seller claims. Wont fit over cross member of the Ford. Do your own diligence on the other brands as I cannot speak to those.

    • Does not fit Ford Ranger
Does not fit on a 2004 Ford Ranger 4x4, with and without the superlift bracket. I could cut my bracket to make it fit but instead I just dropped the front control arms down enough to swap out the bars. Seems sturdy though, so if you have a truck it fits, definitely worth it.
