This comforter is way too loud for my liking. When my husband moves around, it wakes me up. When I move around, it wakes him up. It seriously sounds like sleeping under a tarp. The smell was also very strong. I read another review saying that dry cleaning would quiet it down and remove the smell. It did remove the smell but it was no quieter. My husband finds it very hot to sleep under but the temperature is fine with me. It is very pretty and fluffy and fits our King size well. But I can't stand the sound. I would not recommend this for light sleeping couples.

Welp! We had a comforter for years. With an allergy cover in it. It had last for many years. Through stains, puppy pee, washings. Then our 10 year old mini dachshund peed on it twice within a week. I think she was trying to mark her territory. Perils of having three dogs. Anyway! She peed on it and I had to wash it. Again. I had to wash it with the asthma cover on it because feathers were escaping. Lots is feathers. I washed it, put it in the dryer, and took out it. Still wet. Laid it on the back of the couch and out it back in the next day. I noticed it had a...smell. I put it in the dryer with 6 tennis balls and it came out so twisted and stinky that I decided it was time to go to the trash. The point is, when I got this I breathed a sigh of relief. There was no smell, and it fluffed up pretty quickly! It’s a nice color too! I don’t mind the crinkly-ness because it feels really nice. Unless you live in the Antarctic, an all weather down comforter is really all you need IMO. The hypoallergenic cover attracted me too. We’ll see how it stands up!

This is pretty much just what it says it is...a plain, light weight down comforter made of cotton. It's generously sized. I wish it had a lot more detailing...a print, or panels of different shades, but I couldn't find that type of comforter. This one's cotton fabric is VERY THIN. Our cat did a number on it with her claws. DOWN COMFORTERS LET DOWN GET OUT IF YOU GET A HOLE IN THEM! Very messy. Luckily, we were able to sew up the hole. Besides being thin, the fabric is very noisy, making crinkly sounds at every touch. It would also be nice if it were heavier...I should probably have looked for a weighted blanket instead of a down comforter! Aside from these issues (which are really not the comforter's fault), the comforter is cool enough in warm weather, and warm enough in cool weather. If you keep your bedroom on the cold side, add a blanket under the comforter, or get the winter weight version.

So I've only just got it and have only had it for 1 night but I love it. I bought a duvet cover for it as well so with the 2 of them it's great. I washed it right away and some of the reviews had mentioned a smell and when it was wet it did have a smell to it but once it was dry it was pretty faint. I remember my previous down comforter that I was using also had that same smell but after awhile I think it was gone because I don't remember it still smelling. Anyway I had the best sleep in a long time. It was super cozy and the comforter stayed in place. So many times I wake up and my blankets are almost to the floor. My husband on the other hand was a bit too warm with it but he has to have our bedroom so freaking cold. Oh well, works perfectly for me. Told him it was like sleeping on a cloud.

Opened and immediately returned it to a ups store. This is not at all what is advertised. This was not an issue of letting it puff up. There were multiple squares with zero feathers. ZERO. Bought a used one on eBay when I got home. I realized it was more ethical to buy a used down blanket and I bought a 700 fill, medium weight, plush one for $40. Try used. You can wash down, go to laundromat if it won’t fit in your machine. Used!!
