I am so happy I decided to give this cup a chance! Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but it is functional too! It feels like very good quality and the artwork is beautiful. I took a picture from all angles to show how beautiful it is. I needed a cup that I could make my coffee in and bring with me in the mornings, but I was so scared that it wouldn't fit in my cup holder. So I was very pleased to see that it did! I took some pictures to show how it fits in my cupholder. The handle being placed so high on the cup really helped it to fit perfectly in there. I was also nervous that it wouldn't be dishwasher safe after I read some reviews that said their cup said not dishwasher safe, but mine had no sticker on the bottom saying that and the bottom of the box it came in said dishwasher safe. I will update after I wash it! I also haven't used it yet, so I cannot review how the lid fits or works yet. To me, the lid working is not super important, but I will update after I use it! ... show more

    • Lid Does Not Accommodate Glass Strws!

First, allow me to say that this is a beautiful, heart-warming cup. The ceramic is sturdy, the design is lovely, the Scripture always turns my heart toward the Lord, the cup keeps my chais and cocoa warm, the price was right, I love the butterfly adornment... So, what's not to like!? Just a few caviats. I have a chronic condition leading to extreme weakness--in fact, I've been on bed rest for over a year due to health challenges. That said, for anyone in my position, the cup is extremely heavy. I have difficulty lifting a standard remote control, and this cup is about twice that weight, so it is a real struggle to lift it. The lid is spill-resistent but by no means spill-proof. And that's where my straw problem comes in. I really love the taste of beverages in ceramic cups, and glass straws just complement the experience. Using a plastic straw with a ceramic cup is like having McDonald's French fries with the best prime-rib venison, or like trying to transform one of Shakespeare's plays into a comic book--no disrespect meant to any of the above, but those would certainly be incongruous experiences, would they not!? The bottom line--I do NOT like the taste of plastic straws and try to useother materials whenever I can, because I'm a flavor snob. That said, even my very smallest glass straw does not fit this lid. No squeezing, squiggling, or squirming on my part could coax that glass Strawsome straw into this cup. My choices are to use a tasteless plastic straw or to try to lift a cup that is too heavy given my current health. I've actually seen that other travel mugs feature lids with similar difficulties, but if a non-plastic straw is a non-negotiable for you, it might behoove you to look elsewhere. For me, I must settle for plastic--so I've at least tried to spice things up by ordering someplastic straws with a little more flare and sentimental value than your typical, plain, run-of-the-mill ones... Please keep this in mind when shopping for a travel mug, if flavor or straw construction are important to you. ... show more
