My indoor/outdoor cats love these houses, (I had to buy 3 total). The heating pad must be designed just right because it doesn't appear to be overheating the house yet at 23 degrees outside, they don't want to come into my house. I have sensors at the door walls to alarm me when they want inside but many nights they spend in the heated cat house. They love that they can see out of the clear vinyl doors. ... show more

The lil house is standing up to this lovely blizzard we are having outside now. I had to tie it to a small pallet to keep it in place but it’s not breaking up I’m the wind and with snow. The heating pad seems ok. I’m not sure the little plastic flaps on the doors do a lot but it’s a nice touch.

I was looking for a house for the neighborhood cat. I wanted something that had 2 openings so he wouldn't feel trapped and would actually use it. I have a covered porch so I didn't have to worry too much about it getting wet. It was very easy to assemble and I was glad the plastic strips across the doors are Velcro and easy to remove as he did not like the ones on the front. Once I removed them he went inside. The heating pad works well. It doesn't get too hot and seems to keep him pretty comfortable. The only thing I wish is that the pad was softer, but I guess then the heat wouldn't get through as easily. He doesn't seem to mind at all. I'm guessing he really likes his house because although he wanders throughout the day, he always returns to his house to sleep. I do believe this house would be somewhat weather resistant, but I'm not sure it would be in any kind of serious rain or snow. It should be used in a covered area I would think. I would buy this again if I needed a second house. It seems to fit the bill . ... show more

This cat hut is adorable and easy to assemble. It shipped quickly and in excellent condition. My only concern is the heating pad included. The cord is extra long which is nice, but the plug is a two prong instead of 3 and half the cord does not have the protective cover. The heating pad is not pressure activated and stays on all the time. The temperature seems a little higher than pressure activated pads and is not adjustable. If this item is used in a covered area such as a garage or outbuilding, in a location that is extremely cold for very long periods of time, this might be a perfect solution. I am looking at replacing the heating pad with a type I have used before safely. The hut itself is great! Just as weatherproof and sturdy as any other brand I've used, only cuter and more decorative for my porch. The cats will be safe and warm this winter. ... show more
