Ordered this for my 6 new chicks that had outgrown their broader bins and were itching for more space in the garage. I couldn't be happier and they are extremely happy girls! It was tons of space and larger than I expected. A total game charger for keeping chick's happy until they are big enough to go out with the big girls amd the weather warms up. It went together pretty easily. Instructions were good. A little common sence goes a long way when assembly anything. But was extra pleased to see it was a hook system that connected all the panels together. 2 sets of 4 panels that are already connected unfold to make up each half of the run. They just need the ends hooked on and then the 2 half hook together to make on big run. Went together with the help of my son and husband in about 10 min. My husband built a box for it to sit in with door cut outs so I could keep the bedding contained. But it was plenty sturdy and exceeded my expectations. No zip ties to hold this together. It does come with them for added security if I were to put this outside. I'd zip tie a couple spotts just for security reasons. I feel confident this will hold them for a long while without the stress of trying to introduce the girls to the flock too early because of space issues. Then I think will turn it into a bunny run for the summer! Multi functional. And lots of access point which is really nice for making sure you can place food, water and toys throught the cage. I think it won't be too bad to clean. It's easily moved with 2 people. So I think even just moving the whole cage off for a deep clean would be easy. I did have a small narrow rake that I can fit in to move bedding around and clean general messes. The roof access point is awesome! Easy to assemble and is fairly sturdy. Not as tall as I imagined, but good temp housing as we build a more permanent structure.

I needed to move my 10 week old (8) chicks into my main coop without having them together with the older chickens. This was perfect. Big and tall enough for temp housing. Fit inside my run. Has a few access doors to change food, water, etc. Needed my sons help to Put together but just because you need an extra pair of hands. Wasn’t difficult. This should not be listed as a chicken coop run imo, it is to small for a chicken. I use it as a an outdoor play pen for my cat and it works for that. It is not heavy weight like a dog kennel, held together with zip ties. If it was left out with a animal/chicken in it yes it would need the tie downs used that are included. ... show more

He used to chew the fabric on tents and octagonal enclosures and, once those were gone, he became very crabby when he couldn't spend time outdoors. This cage stays in place and is very roomy. Unlike the smaller fabric enclosures, he and his sister can both occupy their outdoor "house" at the same time without spats. Assembly was more difficult than expected. My husband, who is very good at these things, required more than a couple of hours and he went out to get more zip ties for it. He did not clamp it to the ground, but the end result is very sturdy. Daughter placed artificial turf inside so cat can't chew on grass. The door latches are a bit of a pain because they require two hands to operate (difficult with a cat in one arm). All in all, though, everyone is very happy with this cage and it looks as if it is going to last longer than a fabric enclosure. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First day for the new chicks to be outside for a few hours. This product was easy to assemble and was exactly what we needed to allow these baby chicks to live free and be chickens. We only used half of the product for now but will make use of the rest as needed. Would recommend this for any small animal you wish to supervise safely outside. ... show more

    • Works perfectly for 10-12 grass fed meat chickens!
This is working perfectly for our use: moved 11 meat chicks into this when they were old enough (and days/nights warmed up enough) to take out of their small pen that was heated with a heat lamp at night. Super easy for one person to move around to a new grassy spot every day. I didn't need to pin down the cage (nor wanted to for ease of moving to new grass daily) because we have no big critters like coons, bobcats, dogs or ? who could/would break in. For the money, I am really pleased. A bit tricky to put together-thank goodness my husband is good and patient with that sort of thing.....and two people-one to do the holding-and the other to attach clips, surely made the job a lot easier. ... show more
