My farmer grandpa salvaged an old wreck of a bike and “refurbished” it for me when I was a kid. I recently dug it out of the pole barn and gave it a fresh coat of paint and some tires. It needed a new seat but the whole thing is probably worth $30 in scrap and I didn’t want to break the bank. This seat is perfect. Not as soft as it looks or is advertised; more middle of the road cushioning. The suspension springs help soak up bumps on a hard tail bike some. Needed a saddle replacement for my old Schwinn ranger mtb restoration, and this worked out fine. Budget installation tools are included and were up to the task. Rails seem to be spring steel; they were slightly too wide for the mount, but flexed to fit securely under mounting pressure. Came with a solid looking post mount adapter that I haven't tested. Overall this is a decent budget saddle, and a good value for the money in the budget segment. Will update if anything changes. ... show more

if you want to ride in comfort this is the seat for you. we got folding bikes and the seats that come with the bike are padded classic road bike style seats. they were ok but if you are just putting around then you want one of these babies.

I bought a bike at walmart, and i'm mostly happy with the start, but the seat pushed on my tailbone something fierce! This seat has a cutout down the middle, both for my tailbone, and the...Ahem, male issue. Installation was a no brainer, And I'm sure the little stamped wrench would do fine for people who have no tools, I urge you to get a full set of ratcheting wrenches. the extra length alone will let you get a tighter mount, as well as not requiring you to re-mount the wrench for every turn. Just stand behind your bike, and line it up with the upper pole leading to the handlebars, and adjust as needed after every tightening turn. I had to drop the front one click from how it arrived, as well as lower the seat bar a small bit due to the height difference. Another review said it didn't last 18 months, or 2500 miles. I ride a mile to work, and on odd weekends, pull my nieces to the park. I don't think this will be a issue for a long time for me. ... show more

This is the third identical seat I’ve bought for 3 different women's bicycles. Each application was perfect with the rider completely happy. This last application used the rail installation instead of the usual clamp. Perfect fit. Recommended product.
