I'm loving it so far since I got it last week (7/24/2023). This bag is compact, roomy, and it also teaches you NOT to overpack via the "everything, including the kitchen sink" approach of trying to bring just about everything with you. The absolute LAST thing you want to do is lug around something that nearly feels like a military-standard weighted backpack during the current hellacious heatwave we're having when I'm writing this review. The exterior profile is very sleek. Can be worn up front while carrying a camera backpack on your back, though. Depending on my trips since I've had it for a week, my usual go-to carry inside this bag includes: - see-through conair travel pouch/bag for tech (contains Baseus power bank, cables, charger plug, car charger plug, earbuds with charging case, wired earbuds, small LED flashlight) - 24oz bottle to hold any drink (or collapsible umbrella depending on the weather) - pack of wipes - small hand towel - Rugged tablet (8-10 inches depending on outing) - small medicine pack/pouch for my daily meds - pen(s) and/or tablet stylus - Amazon Basics Tablet Stand (fits right next to the rugged tablet in its compartment in the bag) - hearing aid case - 1 emergency 8-piece hearing aid battery pack I also optionally carry: - Olympus TG-6 "pocket" camera and extra battery (with pluggable charger) - passport (as needed) - a folding walking/hiking cane/monopod can be attached to exterior strap Other than the folding cane/monopod - depending on size - everything else will fit inside the sling without it looking bloated. The see-through travel case I mentioned is for TSA when travelling via plane. They like the fact that they can see your electronics in one spot, and that the case is see-through. As mentioned, I use the conair see-through travel organizer - you can also find it here on Amazon. All in all; the tomtoc 14 EDC compact sling bag variant is a solid purchase so far.     • Fantastic bag for carry a Steamdeck, battery and xReal glasses

I wanted to have a carrying bag that is durable and has enough space to allow me to transport my Steamdeck (SD) in a protected hardcase, xReal glasses and wireless DS4 controller. I tried out five different carrying bags before settling on the TomToc 9L sling bag. I did look into bags that had an outer hardshell but found them to be very restrictive so I decided to purchase a bag big enough so I could keep the SD in a protective case inside the bag. I like the JSAUX SD hard case (model BG0102) over the stock SD hardcase as it has plenty of room to hold a Redmagic adapter, USB-C cables and earbuds so I don't need to search through the TomToc bag to find these items. The JSAUX case also acts as an elevated kickstand for the SD. I like that the TomToc sling bag has a built in water bottle pocket that works nicely to hold the xReal glasses case so allowing them to always stay protected during transport. The bag also has plenty of additional pockets both inside and outside to hold a 26Ah battery. The case also has a standard handle so it can be held like a standard bag rather than a sling bag if desired. If you're not interested in carring a wireless controller just want to carry the xReal glasses and battery you can get away with the 7L size of this bag. ... show more

If what you're looking for is a slim and sleek sling for your laptop/tablet that can fit edc type items as well and you want it to be durable and not look like a purse, then this is the bag for you. If you need a gym/ weekend getaway type bag for storing changes of clothes or shoes, then I don't think this would suffice. But as is, I don't think I would change a thing about it. It seems they have really listened to feedback and made the changes ppl were wanting. My biggest request was for a lighter interior lining.(the all black was just not cutting it for style) And looky at what we have here. This beautiful light grey lining. I lub it! I've tested out around ten slings lately ( though most of which were from apparel company's selling by their name alone). Still though, tomtoc hands down won in the quality department... This thing feels like it'll last a few decades. I bought their ipad 12.9" shoulder bag a few years back (in pictures for comparison) and was very happy with their quality then, and very glad to see this is a trend of theirs.
