My boyfriend and I have the identical brand. Same problem. We updated all our cleaning products and body items for natural things after having a baby and watching “STINK” on Netflix, this was the deodorant we chose based off reviews and price. Pros: - smells are both SPOT ON for apricot and woodsy scents. The apricot is actually so good that my boyfriend thinks I put on perfume and I don’t even wear perfume. - price is good for a natural product - NO ARMPIT BURN AFTER SHAVING!! - men’s was extra cheap but had to buy a minimum of two, so I gifted one to my dad for his 61st birthday. - Prime Shipping Cons: - coverage doesn’t last long. I have to reapply after a workout, and at LEAST half way through my day, where as with Secret I never had to once. Or you smell REALLY RIPE! I usually carry it with me when we go out. Overall, I will most likely continue to just reapply, the scent and no burn effect after shaving is amazing! I’ll probably try Bali Deodorant next.     • The aluminum is really bad for you
I started purchasing this deodorant for my husband we did some research on antiperspirants and their contents. The aluminum is really bad for you, so we switched him from an antiperspirant/deodorant to a straight deodorant. The smell of this product is really pleasant. A little bit goes a long way, so it lasts a while, and he says it goes on nice and smooth. He works in construction, so when he comes home still smelling nice, I know this deodorant is ding its job. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to make a switch to a more natural product. ... show more

    • Pits stink after 6-8 hours
While this might work well for some, it didn't do much to curb body odor from my armpits. After minimal exertion, like walking from car to desk-type job, pits smelled by just after lunch. Also bought the Arm & Hammer Essentials, and they work great, still smelling good next day after much more sweating. I'm sure everyone responds differently to these things, but that's my experience. ... show more

I have using a speed stick for years but recently it has started driving me crazy with terrible itching after application. It was just awful always scratching my arm pits... I had to do something. I looked up info on men’s deodorant and found that most deodorant use aluminum in their formula. Then, I found an article about best performing deodorants. This Toms of Maine was rated # 2 on their list and no aluminum. I immediately ordered two Deep forest sticks. No more itching and it does a great job at keeping me smelling fresh. I am a full time carpenter and am active all day each day framing houses, general carpentry, and finish work. I like the smell af this deodorant and it just works as hard as I do. Thanks to Toms of Maine for a great peroduct and to amazon for a great price. I have already bought 2 more sticks of this and am very happy with my choice.     • Great scents, but if you sweat a lot you'll have to re-apply
I like all Tom's deodorants because they smell natural and not "cologney" (espeically the North Woods scent). This one, Deep Forest, smells nice but I would not say it smells like a forest. The North Woods scent smells like a forest for sure, though. Anyway, as a guy who sweats a lot, Tom's deod does a fine job in the winter, but during the hot summer months I have to re-apply at least once during the day. That seems to be the price you pay for aluminum-free deodorants. The other brands I've used (Every man Jack, Herban Cowboy) were both the same way. ... show more

    • Waste of money.
My girlfriend and I tried this brand for 3 weeks. I only for 1 as I noticed that both of my armpits were extremely red. My girl didn’t get the same reaction (the female one) but it didn’t work at all. She tried the peach 24 hour one. It doesn’t stop sweet and the peach fragrance turns nasty. She didn’t feel fresh. She kept at it thinking she just needed to get use to it but nothing. A while back she had tried a different fragrance from this brand too and they don’t work. ... show more

    • Other Tom's deodorants were completely useless for me, but this works
My husband actually tried this deodorant. He tried several non-aluminum containing deodorants but they irritated his skin (those with baking soda). I have always had the same issue and I was resigned to a deo that only lasted 4 hours at best. I have even tried other Toms deodorants that were, no offense, completely useless. Salt crystal never really worked for me either. This one, however, works really well for me and my husband and all day long. I like the smell too, it's not overly perfumey, and definitely has a woodsy smell but I tend to like those notes. ... show more

My wife is chemical sensitive and is quick to complain about chemical odors found in most deodorants. I've been using this product for several months and it doesn't seem to bother her.
