I absolutely LOVE this tote! It's super roomy, but not huge and bulky. I can fit a small purse in it, along with an ipad, cosmetics, brush and other essentials, if need be. The end pockets are quite wide enough for a watter bottle or coffee travel cup, although they are only deep enough for about 1/2 of the bottle, so be aware of that. My iPhone RX does not fit in the end pocket unless I tuck the flap in and don't try to use it. But the phone fits with room to spare in one of the fron zip pockets. I love the included detachable shoulder strap, which I folded and tucked into the back zip pocket. Handy if I need it, but out of the way when I don't. I bought this to take on the plane with me for an upcoming trip, and I have already tested it to see how much I can get into it, and still close the zipper. I can even put in one of my small travel pillows. I'm so happy with this tote! It's a heavy duty canvas, lined with a thin (probably too thin) silky material, probably nylon. The straps are very sturdy and attached with stitching in an X pattern to make it sturdy. My shoe-repairman husband looked at it and said I had made a good choice! The shortcoming may be the quality of the nylon zippers. You never know about those until some time has passed. Inside there is a padded divider with a velcro closure, and a very roomy wider space. Also a zipper pocket inside, but it's rather small. With 3 outside pockets, 2 outside pouches, and all of the room inside, this will be an ideal companion for plane or train travel, and a handy tote for picnics, games, etc. I recommend spraying yours with Scotch Guard when you get it to help make it water repellent. The tote was packaged in a cloth bag inside of a plastic bag. Well packaged and protected. I'm really impressed, and think the price is a bargain for the quality of the bag. ... show more

I have been looking for a few years for a handbag/purse/whatever to replace my "Handbag of Holding" I bought from ThinkGeek 10+ years ago that finally just completely bit the dust about a year and a half ago. I even bought fabric to fix that bag but decided that was just silly. I've bought multiple bags on Amazon and they were all wrong for different reasons. The most recent before this was a fairly nice bag and had lots of pockets but was ridiculously floppy and hard to just reach in and find something. This one, however... I got excited when I first opened it to find a stiff canvas material, a flat bottom (cardboard likely but that's what they all are), and lots of pockets, including some I didn't know were there until I started showing the hubby who could not give a flip (but will be happy if it works just so I quit complaining about it). My Samsung Galaxy S3 (9.7") tablet fits in the padded, velcro flap pocket with room to spare so if you have something bigger you've got the space. My LG G6 phone fits in the outside side pocket securely and easily. There are 4 extra-large pockets (about 8" deep by 12" wide, one with zipper, one with velcro and the tablet padded pocket with a fold over velcro strap), 1 large pocket (about 6" deep by 9" wide), 6 medium pockets (about 6' deep by 4-5" wide, two with zippers), 3 small pockets (about 4" by 4", two with zippers and one of the zipped pockets being behind the no zipper pocket) and 3 pen pockets. Also has a long key holder strap thing. Could easily pull out the key hook and open a door without unhooking the keys. The lining is not a thin satin lining, it's more of a thinnish canvas/cotton? I think it'll hold up well. The only downside I'd see is it has one of those "still open at the ends" top whole purse zipper but as I don't zip up the top of my purse anyway it won't bother me. I'll edit this review after I've had it a while to update on it's durability. I have high hopes, though, and I'm seriously considering buying 3 more so I never have to do this hunt again! Update: I still love this bag and bought a second one but today the edge of the purse got caught in the door when I was closing it and the hook just broke! Obviously not metal which is disappointing. I'm going to have use the strap from the other purse and it's a different color so that's going to not look good. (The gray one broke, the new one I bought is brown) Other than that it's in good shape and has handled the abuse I put a purse through. Just be sure to be a little careful with the hooks attaching the long strap. ... show more

I got this bag for a trip. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated but holds all the things I needed it too. I like large bags. This is more medium sized. It has great pockets for organizing your things but the lining is super cheap. Almost like a gauze. The stitching is pink. I didn’t realize that when I ordered. It was great for travel, could use it cross body style. It’s a nice bag and held up in the airport with a ton of heavy things packed inside. I dislike the logo/brand patch on the front pocket. It’s large and gaudy looking. I like the bag but wish the inside material was a a better quality. Not sure that will hold up for the long haul. ... show more

I love the fact this bag is made of canvas, so it is very sturdy. With all the pockets and dividers, it holds a LOT of stuff! I've gotten a many compliments regarding the look of it. I purchased the blue one. Be careful though, two or three of the other colors are made of nylon as opposed to the canvas. I don't know if they are as sturdy as the canvas. ... show more
