Used these for different Holiday Village displays I put up. Nice that it has different voltage adjustment to change depending on amount of voltage need for different LED lighting and number of display figures. Very happy with this product.

I purchased this power adapter primarily to work with a Casio label printer that I've had for years that was not originally supplied with an AC adapter. I'm happy to say that it works perfectly for that use. With its maximum 2 amp output for each of the available voltages and the selection of barrel plugs it comes supplied with, it's usable on a number of the devices that I have that require more than one amp. Voltage regulation is substantially better than some of this type of unit that I've had in the past. Selecting whether to purchase this unit or another manufacturer's offering would have been a lot easier if the listing had shown the size of each of the barrel adapters. The outside diameter measurements of each of the barrel adapters according to my calipers are as follows: 5.42, 5.46. 3.98, 3.45, 3.02, & 2.64mm. The listing states “Reverse Polarity: You can select which polarity you want!” As I have a few pieces of equipment that don't use the standard center pin positive polarity, I was looking forward to this feature. If you can reverse the polarity with this power adapter I have yet to determine just how. There is no switch to reverse polarity. And none of the adapters are polarity reversal adapters. This was disappointing. On the whole I'm pleased with this adapter, but I do miss the reverse polarity function. ... show more

You can't get much more universal than this! It comes with an assortment of useful connectors and being able to select the voltage is awesome! I've misplaced several chargers in the past, but with this kit, I was able to find the right connectors for my devices. My main reason for ordering this was to charge an RC car that I had misplaced the charger for. The charging port on the car required a small barrel connector which I couldn't find online. I thought about rewiring it to use a different charger but I never got around to doing it. Surprisingly, this kit included the exact size connector I needed, and I was able to charge the car. Overall, I'm really happy with this charger, but I want to stress the importance of selecting the correct voltage before plugging it into any device. If you choose the wrong voltage, you risk damaging the device or even starting a fire. ... show more

    • Disappointed that cord is only 4 ft., not 5 ft., and tip fit too loose!
Avon did not include an adapter with a lighted Christmas village that I purchased several years ago, and the batteries run out quickly. I have been trying to locate an adapter for a long time now so I took a chance and ordered this one. However, the description for the cord states that it is 5 feet, but the one that I received was only 4 feet long. Also, the tip that I needed was too loose and because the cord was too short, it would pull out the loose tip making an extension cord necessary. The Amazon West Columbia, SC location did not use care when mailing my order with other items in a plain Amazon brown envelope without protective bubble wrap, so the box was torn and damaged.     • Runs cool, provides advertised power
I went ahead and tested this at its maximum rated power (2A at 12V). With no load, it measured 12.45V; at 2A, it measured 11.87V. The adapter got slightly warm, but not hot. Since it's a switching supply with minimal filtering, there was 60kHz ripple at a few hundred millivolts; a filter capacitor near your load should take care of that, and most devices that run off a supply like this will already have that in place. I like that the voltage is adjusted with a RECESSED switch (need a screwdriver to adjust it). This reduces the chance of accidental changes. Recommended. ... show more

    • Good multi voltage and plug power brick
All the voltages measure to within tolerances of the actual setting. The voltage selector has a good solid click and stays in place (i.e. no accidental switching to a different setting). You have to unplug the brick to access the selector. You can use a standard screwdriver to change the selection or the included tool. The plug adapters fit tightly onto the end of the cable and take a bit of effort to remove them again (more force than unplugging the adapter from the device being powered should ever take).
