Features

  • SPRING-LOADED MOWING ARM: The spring-loaded mowing arm allows the trimmer head to automatically deflect around fence posts, mailboxes, walls, and other obstacles. This allows you to trim right up close to just about anything on your property!
  • PIVOTING DECK: Follow the contours of the land with the unique pivoting deck. Ideal for anywhere with uneven ground, the pivoting deck ensures professional-quality results a an even trim with no scalping!
  • SUPER-DUTY CUTTING CORDS: All DR Trimmer Mowers accept super-thick 175 mil cutting cordsathe thickest, longest-lasting in the industry (so you spend more time mowing and less time changing cords).
  • STEEL GUARD: The 23" diameter steel guard ensures that you'll trim just as close to fence posts as you need to, but not damage them. The guard allows the trimmer head to cut within half-inch of any obstacle.
  • ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT ANTI-SCALPING WHEEL: The adjustable-height anti-scalping wheel prevents damage to the turf by keeping the trimmer head always at a constant distance from the ground. Adjust the height to make precise cutting height changes. Cutting height can be adjusted between 1.5" and 3.5".

  • Need to know it’s limitations…..
I may amend this review at a later date. I just may have been asking too much of this thing and need to get over the learning curve. The assembly is not complicated but the instructions leave much to be desired for one not real familiar three point stuff. After less than an hour I wore out the plastic cap on the bottom of the trimmer. In hindsight, that was on me for misunderstanding the instructions. It stated where to install a large bolt, but never said to move the bolt to a different location before using the implement. The holes for said bolt didn’t line up and I had to enlarge one in order to get it installed. It ate up the two factory installed lines in nothing flat. I bought some heavy duty .170 square line and installed in all four slots. It seemed to work quite well, but still wore out quickly. I’m sure my attacking some brush that was about 1/4” thick was more suited to a brush hog that this thing. Lighter material and all would, most likely, be well. I did run into the previously mentioned problem of not being able to get a used up line removed. You have to remove the aluminum disc that holds the lines and loosen the screws a bit. I think this problem only comes into play when dealing with heavier material that can shave down the line on the exit side to the point of not being able to grab it. I called Titan and ordered three of the plastic caps. After they arrive I’ll get back to my learning curve…… ... show more

  • Think flat terrain only
Expected more from this. Biggest problem is terrain, ups and downs. Simply cannot handle hardly any ground undulations without scalping and/or dragging the ball. Limited to forward motion only. Lots of looping around in circles trying to make that happen. Really need to get inbetween trees and backing in would make it more useful for what I was hoping to get. Any notion that you can cut even a slight side bank from any angle, forget it. Cannot get it up in the air off the ground to transport, ends up dragging the ball. There is an option to move a large bolt to a different position to hold it up but gets stuck and hard to move back for actual operation. Instructions, several omissions and flat out errors, showing wheel spacers on different sides of the wheel bracket in different pictures. Large bolt location shown on one side with no mention of moving it to the other side for operation. It comes with a very robust three point hitch structure, a good thing, but note this severly limitis the up motion to get it off the ground or handle undulations during operation. Bent the PTO shaft, my bad. If you have flat terrain, very flat with no dips or mounds, I can picture this working well. It appears to have a narrow niche and would work well in that niche. ... show more

  • Titan Attachments
The quality of their products is not good. Nothing but problems from the day of delivery. I have this attachment and have only been able to use it for twenty min from the time I received it over fourty five (45) days ago. Customer service keeps giving me the run around. I would not recommend anyone to do business with Titian Attachments ... show more

  • Wasn't plug and play but it works pretty good..
Shipper did not call ahead, just showed up... During assembly the PTO shaft was machined poorly on the implement end. Would not fit until I filed all the paint out, rounded the inside of the setscrew holes, and widen the keyway. Manual only warns to have all 4 cords installed, does not specifically say you need to add 2 cords because it is only comes with 2 installed at factory. On a side note, I have a b-series Kabuta and need to take about 3" out of PTO shaft. Normal according to instructions. Wish it stuck out past the tracter more.... But it worked very well for work along ditches. ... show more

  • Cheap parts
Anti scalping plastic piece literally melted off within 1st 300 ft of fence line . I'm building same thing out of aluminum. Hopefully rest holds up! Line they supply is junk. Get .170mil square line from Oregon. Great concept just needs to be built to last, I will rebuilt to make it work for years but will cost a few hundred bucks to make right. The line holding system is aluminum and hopefully it hold up. Good luck to whoever buy. Not sure if you can get parts cause I'm rebuilding it the way it should of been built , it is a implement and should hold up to do your fences. ... show more

  • Works fine
Ok, second try. I think the trimmer does what it was designed to do. Has some limitations but works fine. Missing one nut on shipment but all else intacted. Well packed. Spring to push back after fence post could be stronger.

  • Terrible customer service
This seemed like just what I was looking for and it performed well for the first few months. Then, it became impossible to remove the worn-down string "stubs" to replace with new ones, in effect making it a stringless trimmer. Three telephone calls to Titan's customer service and was on hold for 45 minutes each time. Left voice mail messages each time, all of which were ignored. My $900 trimmer is useless and the manufacturer apparently couldn't care less. ... show more

I have this trimmer on a 40 horsepower compact tractor with wide tires. My only complaint is that it is hard to see the cutter head because of the wide tires.
