After a horribly expensive struggle with blinds and custom window shades, I couldn’t justify thousands of dollars for paper thin shades, so I rolled the dice on these curtains due to the reviews. I absolutely love them! For me, the deep green is a complete black out, but I have four panels on each (sliding door) window. So my windows are 77 inches wide and I have 200 inches of curtain here. I love that there isn’t a plastic looking white backing that faces my street, because I think that looks cheap and those yellow over time. Although I’m sure these will eventually fade too, I’m 100% ok with it. I just bought two more sets in grey for my master bedroom. I have low light due to wood walls, so these appear a very deep emerald green. Hang them high to pull your ceiling up! I’ll probably be adding a sheer middle curtain to let some light in during the day

I've wanted black velvet curtains since I was a teenager and always scoffed at the price of curtains, recently bought these for my bedroom knowing they were half the price of what I usually see in stores for the same item. These are amazing. Heavy, they do have a very slight red glow behind them during daylight. They are soft and make my bedroom feel like a Gothic castle. I love them.

I bought these curtains in dark green and paired it with floral lace curtains and it looks GORGEOUS! The material is nice and thick, not exactly blackout, but it has helped to make my home a bit cooler since the sun doesn’t shine in so hot. I love it! I will be buying more for other rooms in my house. I will say it was wrinkly coming out of the box, but a little steam went a long way. I’m sure popping them into the drier for a few minutes on a steam cycle would probably get the same result.

These curtains are beautiful and of good quality. The velvet gives a sort of ombre look due to the texture, even though they are really monochrome. They let someone light through but are room darkening.
