Excellent boots. Great for hiking and every day wear. I wore these for a camping trip a little while after buying them and realized 1/4 mile in that the boots were so sturdy I could run in them. They have amazing slip resistance, and are nearly as comfortable as running shoes when broken in. I ran nearly three miles in the Arkansas woods with no issues in these. They aren’t waterproof, and won’t keep your feet dry but I’d definitely prefer these over running shoes when running trails, just because of how sturdy they are and how well they support my ankles. I really love these boots. They felt perfect from the moment I put them on. The quality and fit are great! They do get a little scuffed up but then that should be expected. I did swap out the laces with red ones and they look amazing! (sorry I do not have a picture but trust me it is the perfect match with the brown leather) I have since hiked in them and the still look and feel great. I got these boots right before a trip and only wore them around the house the day before to break them in. I wore them at White Sands Park up and down the sand hills. Thought for sure my boots would be full of sand, nothing!! Went to Sandia Crest where the snow was up to my knees in spots, again no snow in my boots and my feet stayed warm with regular socks. Hiked down to the Rio Grande River through thorny bushes and mud. In a weeks time I put some serious wear and tear on these boots and they held up great. Plus my feet never got sore. They do scratch up some, but I used leather polisher when I got home and most came out. If you like the worn leather look these are the boots for you. If you want nice polished leather, then look for something else. I have slightly narrow feet (at least for a size 11), but these fit perfect after stretching them a little. Aside from the few scratches (again I was pretty hard on them) these boots, including the soles, look brand new. I ordered another pair for a spare since I can never find size 11 boots I like. ... show more

I bought these boots in the taupe nubuck two years ago. I love them to this day. I wear them almost everyday. I've worn them across four continents, up and down countless mountains, through glaciers. I've worn them in snowstorm and downpours and 115 degree heat. These boots are amazing. I've soaked them, but they have never been uncomfortable. They have always kept my feet warm and dry. I'm a 7.5, but I buy these in 8 to accommodate my thick, woolen socks. So I would say they fit true to size. I bought them again, in brown this time and they are gorgeous. I want my boots to be boots, I can't stand the boots that feel like tennis shoes. These are perfect for that. Why 4 stars if I love them so much? Because the second pair I received were defective, with no way to replace them. The little tab on the back is only attached on one side. I don't need it and at some point I'll probably take a leather needle to it and fix it, but it is frustrating to pay so much money for a shoe to have an obvious defect in workmanship. Will this stop me from buying more in the future? No. My daughter asked for a couple of pairs for her birthday and I'll buy them directly from Timberland this time, that way I have revise if there is any defects. ... show more

I've been searching EVERYWHERE for womens boots that are light weight, wide toe, comfortable, CUTE & with ***actual*** tread!!!! Not a pair I'll ever rehome! It's like trying something on and finding it has pockets I swear! I wish they came in more colors!!! They haven't leaked, I haven't slipped, they come with quality strings, my legs don't hurt or get tired because they are a perfect weight, the hight is great for ankle support but also for matching with almost any outfit, the top is a nice thickness, not too bulky or thin. I haven't had any blisters! The only thing I think could be improved, is the strength of the hooks at the top, everything else is perfect ... show more

I have had these boots for 2 months. I have put them to work doing some heavy labor in our yard. They scratch easily, so if you're buying for a clean boot look, these are not it. But if you're looking for some boots that are comfortable, heavy duty, and have a great grip, these are for you! Haven't had a chance to go hiking in them yet, but going up and down my 25% grade hill these are the only shoes that keep me upright without slipping. I usually get back and foot/leg pain after being on me feet too long, but not in these. I've been able to pull 10 hour yard work days without being uncomfortable. Besides the scratches, they have held up beautifully. I'm HARD on my shoes. I don't see myself needing to replace these for several more years, but when they do eventually give out, I will be buying another pair. These are my new FAVORITE pair of shoes!!! ... show more
