    • Rugged leather on a durable sole.
I bought these boots as a cheap replacement for my beat up work boots. I was strapped for cash and this seemed like the best option. For about $100 you get a rugged, oil tanned leather that gets a nice patina over time. There’s little to no break in period for these boots. The leather is soft from the box and conforms to your foot. The outsole is a really hard recycled rubber that will last you a while, so don’t worry about beating them up. The downside of this boot is that its a cemented construction, not Goodyear welted like say Red Wings or Thursdays. So once it does wear out, it means having to buy another pair. There’s a skinny shank, and the insole is a flimsy piece of foam. Fortunately, the insole is removable, and i highly suggest placing a better insole in. Overall, you get what you pay for.
