I've had these boots for a little less than a year. I bought them because I wanted to change my usual style a little, and these have ended up becoming my favorite shoes! They're very comfortable, for starters. When I first wore them they actually weren't the most comfortable at all, but after wearing them for a short shift on my feet, the sole had pretty much the same shape as my foot, so it feels very nice, even for long hours. I was worried I'd look like a clown with these, but I've actually received a lot of compliments on them! They look great, and if you think you can find an outfit for them to look good with, you definitely can. They seem very durable, too. Minor scrapes on real leather like this rub right off. Deeper ones may pose a problem, but I've personally had very few instances where they happen, and honestly, the more worn they get, the more character they have. I didn't expect these to become my go-to pair of shoes - I normally opt for Vans, and shoes of that type. But I find myself wearing these whenever weather permits! They're quite warm, which is great under the right circumstances. One other thing I should mention. Despite being boots, and despite having what appears to be a rugged grip, I've found that I slip very easily in these, which is a bit strange. The first time, I was walking on my driveway while it was raining and almost fell over. Walking into a store with linoleum while these aren't fully dried on the bottom is dangerous. To be clear: NOT with ice, with straight rain water. It's something I've had to be very careful about with these shoes, so beware. ... show more

These boots not only look great, they are extremely comfortable. The upper quality appears to be top notch, and I expect it to last a very long time. No idea on the long term quality of the soles yet as I haven't had them for very long, but I'm not really concerned about that. It is very simple to have a cobbler re-sole with a nice Vibram. For now I am very pleased with the comfort of the sole and the traction. I normally wear a 10.5, but due to recommendations here I went with a 10, and it is perfect. I am able to wear both my thicker boot socks as well as a slightly thinner summer sock, and fit is great with both. (I rated the fit as 'somewhat large' to indicate the 10.5 would have been a little too big.) ... show more

I really like how the boots look and feel. They pull on and off easily too. I would give these 5 stars except that I ordered them in "BURNISHED BROWN" and got them in "MEDIUM BROWN NUBUCK." The color doesn't bother me though. Overall though they are really good boots! Like some of the other reviews say, order a size smaller than you usually wear because they do come big. I usually wear around 10.5 or 11 and I got 10 and they are slightly big. ... show more

Great quality but Amazon’s recommendation on size said I should go up a half size from my other shoes. I did and they were huge. Had to return. I went down a half size from normal and they fit really well. I ended up chatting to a salesperson at the Timberland store and he said they always recommend going down a half. But once I got the correct size I couldn’t e happier with the quality. ... show more

I had a pair I loved years ago but for the past 4 years tried different kinds. I went back and ordered these hoping that they were as comfortable and durable as I remembered. They were! I usually wear a size 10.5 but in these boots I wear a size 10. I bought these in March. I wear them a couple of times a week for hikes. The last couple of pairs that I bought at Nordstrom held up until the soles wore out, that was a couple of years. These ones I bought here are already at the shoe repair. Soles on both shoes are coming off and need to be re-glued and some of the stitching is coming out. Soles still look new, so I haven't worn them that much. Very disappointed. I wish I bought them at Nordstrom for the $200.00, At least then I could return them hassle free. ... show more
