  • They run a little big
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
5 out 5 stars in everything but sizing standards First off... I love this boot! Second...the sizing was off from what I’m used to. Typically, I wear a size 13. I don’t remember the last shoe boot or any form of footwear that I wore where I wore a size 12. I read the reviews stating that the shoe around large, so initially I ordered a 12 wide. Typically part of the reason I wear size 13‘s is because really do they ever make a 12w. So when I got my first order of 12w I was surprised at how nicely they fit on my toe. But the shoe itself was too wide. My foot slid around, I reordered at a size 12 and they fit amazingly well. Their light, comfortable, and overall just a really well-crafted boot. The more I break them in the more I enjoy them. But they were incredibly comfortable to wear out of the box. Outside of the size being off from what I was used to I would 100% recommend this boot ... show more

  • Tims For The Win
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
These look great in a retro kind of way. The stitching pops subtly in the Medium Brown colorway. One thing with these boots is that they look more rugged than they are. Not that they aren't made well, but they are much more lightweight than their look suggests. This is both a pro and a con. Being lightweight, they can be worn in Fall/Spring. But I wouldn't call them super heavy duty boots. They will be ok in winter, especially mild winter climates, because they lace high and the height of the show makes it fairly warm/ temperature regulating. They aren't waterproof, seam-sealed, or insulated apart from the normal thickness of a high leather boot. Mine came oiled, and you can add waterproofing for protection against light rain, but in a torrential downpour, water will eventually soak through. They have a wide toe box and run true through the arch. They go best with thicker socks and pair well with jeans, khakis, or jean-style cords. As long as you know you won't be climbing Everest with these, you can manage your expectations accordingly. They will be fine for city streets, pavement/gravel, and light trail use. I'd love to see this style in a chukka with three fewer eyelets for easier on/off. Did i mention they look great? ... show more

  • Nice
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
The boots came in darker than I expected. But that's not a problem, it was prettier in person in my opinion. Fits like typical timberlands. They did come in a little scuffed already. But that wasn't too much of an issue knowing the person I got them for. That is my only complaint, I just wish he had the chance to scuff them himself instead of receiving them like that. ... show more

  • They run large but last well.
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
I ordered these for my son before he left for Italy in 2017. Since then, he subjected them to hard use. Last week, I bought him another pair just like them. He usually wears a 12M shoe, and I assumed that was the correct boot size, but when they arrived, they were too big. We checked in his old boots and they were an 11W. I returned the 12s (easy) and ordered 11 W which came the next day and fit just right. This is the only pair of size 11 he has. Everything else is a 12, so you may need to experiment with the right size, but these are GREAT BOOTS! ... show more

  • Extremely Comfortable Out of The Box!
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
I know Red Wings, Wolverine's, and Alden's get a lot of love for heritage-style leather boots, but the value and immediate comfort of these Timberlands are hard to beat. Wore them during two Philadelphia winters, and they fared well. They provide all-day comfort, good traction, and quality looks. Plus, they have aged nicely without cracking or scuffing. I wouldn't trust them in deep water or all day in the snow, but they handle 95% of conditions without any problem. ... show more

  • Starting to fall apart
Size: 12 Color: Medium Brown Nubuck
Man, when I got these boots I loved them. Super comfortable, great look, can walk in the all day. I got these for being out at the ranch but wear them almost daily. Great in the field, nice enough for being around town. Here’s the problem, after a couple months of use, the tongue of the shoe is coming unstitched and the sole is separating on one shoe. The sole separating, I am assuming because they are glued and not stitched. I have not been in any standing water or gotten them wet at all. The tongue, I can’t explain. Just coming apart with not excessive tongue pulling or anything weird like that. 😂 Long and short, I am stuck having to work through getting them replaced. I no longer have the box and a few of the documentation pieces they say you need to return. ... show more
