I don't weigh 600 pounds - I weigh 300 - so I can't attest to this chair's purported capacity, but it is sturdy. And it is wide. If you have a large behind this will have room to spare. Airline seats can be a pain for me. Too narrow. Sitting in this I have a couple of inches to spare on either side. The frame seems pretty tight. No creaking or wobbling. The fabric is tough. I have a cat and she has been trying to use the seat and back as a scratching post. She has not done any damage. My chair sits on a West-facing balcony in San Diego. The sun here can be very hard on fabric, plastic, paint and other surfaces. The fabric on this chair has shown no fading or brittleness after 6 months. Normally I don't post 5 star reviews. I try to find something to dock a point for, even with items I like, but there really isn't anything to complain about here. I suppose I could mention that the thing is a bit stiff to fold and unfold, but that is probably actually a good thing. It shows the thing is less likely to collapse while you're sitting in it. I bought this chair for my Mom who was visiting my home over Christmas. She has mobility issues, bad knees that make it difficult to get up, she retains a lot of fluid & is on the heavier side (like a lot of us!) This chair was everything promised & more! I was quite impressed. It's built well, sturdy & most importantly it was comfortable for her! The attached tray made it easy for her to flip it up to hold food, she was even able to lean & cut meat on it! The pockets are nice, she could store an extra soda away for later. The wide seat gave her plenty of room & then some as well. And the absolute best part? She could support herself on the arms of the chair which were stable & sturdy enough for her to push herself to standing on her own & get up out of the chair 100% on her own! Unfolding and folding the chair takes some strength. It is a straightforward process. You don't need directions to fold or unfold it, but it does take some real effort. And that is my only "complaint" about the product. I am a hefty person and have broken a few outdoor chairs just by sitting on them. This chair? That won't happen. I sat down on it and it barely gave at all. It is very sturdy. The side table is easy to set up and let down. I have put several drinks and some gardening tools on it and it held just fine. There is a weight limit to the side table but I find it very reasonable for my use. Is this the prettiest chair? No. It is a decent looking chair that operates better than you would think. The fabric material is both comfortable and sturdy. The chair seat is "deep" enough front to back and if you want you could tuck a leg under you just fine. The back support is better than any outside folding chair I've ever used. The chair is wide. Both myself and my daughter can sit on it side by side. She even bounced on it to check to see if it would hold. No problem. I have flopped down on it twice now and each time I realized half way through that I shouldn't be doing that. The chair held just fine. The chair is heavy. Read the product details. I was surprised by how much it weighed. Personally, the weight is well worth the sturdiness. ... show more

It’s difficult to find a solid chair that meets the needs and expectations for a big fella. The legs are connected so they don’t sink in. It’s padded and wide enough to fit a larger frame. Setup and breakdown are quick and easy. If you’re looking for a sturdy chair, this is it. Top quality and heavy duty. Built to withstand rugged use, but still light enough to carry. Shoulder strap makes mobility even easier. Center of gravity is just right so tipping is almost impossible. Fold out cup holder / side table perfect.     • Wow, big sturdy chair!

This chair is soooo big and sturdy. The material and construction of the metal frame, the fabric, and the plastic side table all seem very, very durable and well-constructed. It is crazy wide, I seriously can't see it being too narrow for anyone, no matter how xxxxxl. The little side table just folds out with no fuss, and is a good size to hold a drink and a book or kindle without being ridiculously big or awkward. Height wise, it is like a normal chair, not obnoxiously short, like a lot of outdoor chairs seem to be nowadays, so it is easy to get into and out of. The way the legs are designed, it should be fine on pretty much any surface, including sand. It does not need assembly, just take out of box and unfold it. Literally no assembly is required at all. It is pretty heavy for a folding chair. I would not try to carry it a half mile down the beach, but it is easy enough to move around a campsite, for example, or between the front and back yard, and the ease of folding and unfolding makes it practical enough to take with you in your vehicle. The fabric that goes across the top of the back is not super taut, so you can put your feet up on your big cooler or something and lean back so you are slightly reclining. On the other hand, this means it is a bit loose if you want to sit straight upright, I put a square personal flotation device behind my back, and that helped. I may just be too small for the chair, someone larger might find sitting in the chair different. I am just delighted with this purchase. Seriously considering purchasing the equivalent lounge chair as well. ... show more

Wife has some health issues and needed a high capacity chair. This is a well built folding chair. I dont understand others complaining about the weight of the chair, yes it is heavier and bulkier than a light weight chair but it comes with shoulder straps to help with carrying. Hey, its a heavy duty chair. On others complaining about the folding table being to hard to fold, again, its quality built, it latches latch positively. I've never had a issue with the latches. We liked it so much that I ordered a second one. I keep one in the car for the grandkids sports games, and another stays on our front porch. Grandkids play in the front yard when they are over.
