These boots are very thick. They fit well per my size, and are very comfortable. They have some kind of gel or something on the sole and I look forward to wearing them out in the woods. This is a quality boot at a reasonable price. When I got it, that was the first thing that a noticed was how well made it was. I put them on and it was a little tight and somewhat on an effort taking them off. I take responsibility for that, see many reviews suggested you order one size up, I did not do that. I am a size 8 and going by the foot chart, I had what I thought was enough room inside the boot. Actually if they make half sizes I would have been ok. So my advice, go up one size, you will be glad you did. I had to return the size 8 for a 9. I should have listened to the reviews, I could have been enjoying my boots instead of waiting on a larger size ... show more

Obviously it's too soon to know how well these boots will hold up in the long term, so I'll just tell you first impressions. I normally wear a size 11 boot. I ordered size 11 and mine fit perfectly. I bought these, after wearing out a pair of Muck boots. These are much less expensive, but they are just as comfortable to wear. I wear them for barn boots and working in the yard in wet or cold weather. I feel like I got my money's worth. Time will tell if they hold up. ... show more

These boots are NOT snake proof!! 50% of the boot is nothing more than a cheap rubber boot in areas where many snake bites occur, the ankle and foot area. Product title is deceptive as well as in the product description. Considering this is a life safety product, I am disappointed Amazon is allowing this to occur. Not a good business practice. Visits the manufacturer website and read the reviews yourself. At least one customer alleges the manufacturer doesn’t post anyone giving less than 5* reviews with the same complaint.
