It comes in really good condition. I have used it a total of 40 to 50 times and itโs durable itโs useful for a lot of metal but what I have been doing is using graphite spray so it doesnโt stick. Itโs a good product for large bars of aluminum or brass

Mold came just as I was about to do a pour so I got to do an out of the box test. ~80% full 6Kg crucible will just about fill the mold. From learning experience: because this is a big and thick mold compared to the graphite ones, you need to let the pour cool for (maybe) 10-15 minutes or so. My first attempt to release it too early broke the bar in half and made a mess. The second time after waiting a bit, the aluminum bar literally dropped right out of the mold! Easy to use, and a good value for the money compared to graphite ones. 100oz is the volume of the mold. Actual metal weight on the bar in poured is about 27oz, although it was just slightly short of filling the mold to the top with some shrinkage, so could probably get a bit more in there if i didn't have bar break and some material loss.

Amazing! I accidentally purchased 2 different 100oz casts. I only wanted one. I received this one and another different brand one. I decided to use them both . This one was considerably lighter than the other one. I assumed the heavier one would be better. I heated them both up the same and poured the same. The other ingot mold caught fire and smoked to burn off paint. This one didn't. The other one had really bad bubbles in it and was hard to get out. This one hardened perfect with no imperfections and took shorter to cool. There are multiple brands out there I'm glad I tried this one. It has legs on it too. Buy this one not the others. I'm not paid to leave a review just my honest opinion. 5 stars ๐ โญ๐ โญ ๐ after polishing with angle grinder the better looking one is from this cast.
