Ordered this for my sons’s 10th birthday. He didn’t want a phone so I figured this was the next best thing. 1. Seems secure- I like how you can monitor the messages and call log. You can turn off the ability for unsaved numbers to call. It has gps. 2. Easy to talk- once numbers are saved any of the contacts can call him or he can call. It has a feature that if he dosent answer I can call and his watch will auto answer. 3. In app video and messaging and more- you can message and video chat each contact but they will need to create an account and link to the watch. Which is nice because it secure but a bit of an annoyance if someone dosent want to download the app. You can also send fun little cards to the watch, like little email cards. So adorable. It also has step counting goals and I heart radio which you can limit the time 4. Gps- I had to update the gps to the correct location, it was showing up around the corner and down the street. I’ve only had the watch for a few hours. The app says that over time it becomes more accurate as you correct it so we will see. I’ll update this review in a month or so to let you all know. Over all set up was easy, took about 1 hour max for me to go through the app and customize everything. I’d recommend this. Feels sturdy and well made. It’s really cute. Reminds me of a kid g shock. The unlimited plan is a little over 21$ USD monthly. Which isn’t bad.

I spent quite a while exploring other GPS watches for kids. I even bucked a suggestion from a friend who liked another brand. I initially chose this one because it allows you to send a call request, whereas the watch will actually make a call to you, and you can listen in on the children's surroundings. This is an important safety feature in case you attempt to contact your child and they do not answer the call. That is also one of the main reasons why I'm keeping this watch. In addition, it does have good battery life. While we charge it every night, after a full day of use, it's only down to about 90%, so battery life is not an issue. That is the battery life without the active tracking, so if enabling active tracking, the battery usage will be increased. The active tracking updates the GPS signal every 10 minutes. Without the active tracking, the GPS will only update manually when you go into the app. It also has all the other functions, as I'm sure are listed in the item description. It's easy for kids to call mom and dad with a simple swipe and touch. The texting feature is also nice, and for kids who are not yet writing or spelling, there's the ability to hold a button and record a voice text that will send a voice message via text to the recipient. It also seems well-built and durable. This watch has a lot of other functionality, so be sure to check out the tutorials from TickTalk to be able to fully use the benefits of this watch. On a final note, the TickTalk app has a lot of functions, and I've found it works well and is easy to use.

We purchased two of these watches for our children as an alternative to cell phones. The watches have been excellent for being able to communicate with them and track where they are. My daughter likes having the capability of calling her friends directly from the watch. Both children like that it also plays music, they can take pictures and do a couple other fun things on the watches. They also like the step counting feature. For us as parents the main thing was to be able to stay in touch with them and not have the distractions and challenges that a fully connected cell phone would bring. We've had the watches for about 10 months and they have functioned well over that time. Color choices are limited but what they had was good enough for us and our kids. I thought the watches were reasonably priced. I like that the kids each got their own phone number. This watch does not connect with whoever your cell phone carrier is. There is a monthly fee billed separately for the watch through Ticktalk. One drawback in regards to texting is that you can only text through the Ticktalk app or watch to watch. So, your childs friends would either need to have the same watch or if they have a cell phone they would need to download the app in order for them to text to the watch. The parental controls are great. You decide who the contacts will be. You can set "do not disturb" times. There is a feature to block unknown numbers so if someone is not in your child's contact list their calls won't come through. You can set step goals for them. There is a feature for sending cute little greeting cards. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. The watches have met our needs.
