Without this book I would have been stuck like Chuck trying to figure out how to use my Graphing Calculator. I am 50yrs old and haven't been in college for 20yrs and taking College Algebra this semester so I needed something that could get me up and running using that graphing calculator as soon as possible. If you are a student who will be taking a lot of exams especially in math, this book is good to have. Since most schools will let you use a TI-84 this is a nice resource to have instead of having to search the net for help w/ the calculator. I would recommend this mainly for people who have the TI 84 Plus CE. ... show more

This book is a big help to me because it explained everything I should have been taught in a previous math class that required us to have a TI-84, but did not teach us the best ways to use it. I used my TI-34 more then my TI-84. The next math class should be better with the help of this book, especially when it comes to graphing equations. For an elderly non-techi type of person, books like these are great. I also have to note that the book came in during its ETA window in good shape, so that is another plus for this purchase. ... show more

    • Fast, New, and Just what I needed.
I have just reentered college at the ripe old age of 44 to further my career. I am an LPN working towards my RN. I hated math in school. HATED it. But, if I am to get that RN>>College Algebra is a must. I never dreamed a calculator could cost $125. OR that I would need a $20 BOOK to figure out how to work that calculator! The book actually arrived when it was supposed to. I have PRIME...but nothing I have ordered in the past year has actually made it here in less than 4 days. So..pleasant surprise! The book was shrink-wrapped, new, and packaged well. The book itself..well, I am reading it slowly. A little daunting when the first part is titled "Making Friends the Calculator". I have noticed that it is well written and seems to be fairly easy to understand. I am sure once classes start..I will be able to put my new over-priced calculator to good use! Was geared to a ti 84 plus ce which differed enough to be annoying. And was not detailed enough on the other hand. You tube better

I'm a homeschooling Mom and had to teach my son how to use this calculator for the PSAT/SAT. This book was invaluable as it gave concise, bulleted instructions for all major functions of this model calculator. Most schools don't teach this. Furthermore, this is the best resource I found to help learn the ropes. YouTube videos work but I quickly forget the steps. I like the hard copy book so I can bookmark common operations and refer back to them as needed. I even bought one as a teacher gift! ... show more

    • Great Reference for Ti-84 Calculators
Bought this because I have been tutoring my grandson in Math, and he has just started using a graphing calculator. The instructions included with the calculator are sketchy at best, so I have been trying other references. This one is by far the best. It is organized well and has a detailed index where you can quickly find subjects. I would recommend this for any student (or their parent or tutor) new to graphing calculators. ... show more
