After reading reviews I bought the 6.5, half a size up, and they're a great fit. Beautiful leather, lovely, versatile color, and really elegant. I have a narrow foot, and the fit is ideal but if you run wide, heads up, because the shank is on the narrow side of medium, and the toe box might be tight for you. They slip on and off easily, have a great fit around the ankle - they skin, and don't flop, as some Chelsea and other ankle boots can. I love the sole; there's a nice non-skid rubber bit, but it's not bulky. These will look equally great with jeans as with tights and skirts or leggings, and with dresses all year (where are my fellow GenX people?). I've been thinking about these since last year and debated about the price point, but the quality is excellent, and I expect them to last a long time, and get a beautiful patina with wear. If you have high arches consider an insole, though they're surprisingly comfortable for being as flat as they are. I wouldn't miss out on these; they're going to be in heavy rotation next to my Sorels. It doesn't surprise me to see so many reviews about people wearing them in Europe; they are that cool, that understated, that hip, without looking at all like you're trying to be trendy. I was a little hesitant to order my regular size (10) according to the reviews, but figured if they didn't fit and I loved them, I could return and order up a size. They fit perfectly and were comfortable from the first time I wore them! Would definitely recommend.

The boots are well made and the style is nice, however the toe box is too tight even though I followed every possible suggestion to stretch them, even after buying 1/2 size larger. I bought them to wear in Europe in the fall, but I'm not sure I will be able to.

I bought these for a trip overseas. They had to fill a lot of roles and they did so beautifully. They were stylish enough to wear with a skirt and sweater to a semi-formal dinner. These are the real deal--leather, that is! And they smell soooo good! Too bad they just didn't fit my foot right--crowded my toes--and I learned long ago that what doesn't feel quite right when you put them on for the first time doesn't get better with wear, so I sent them back. :(. My feet have almost no padding and are not wide at all, but something about the toe box just wasn't comfortable, even though they were actually longer than other brand boots I own in the same size (6). I don't think it was a matter of size but contour. That said, they would have been great with jeans, leggings, or a casual dress, and the workmanship appeared to be good. ... show more

I love this brand but suggest buying a 1/2 size bigger. I got 6.5 but pinches feet. I bought another in size 7, which fit much better.
