EDIT: I had someone help me and they FORCED the piece in and it just snapped in place. Not sure if I could get it out. All the instructional videos make it seem easy peasy, but this was a bit more difficult. I upgraded from one to three stars because it did fit, but not without assistance and force. Original post: I purchased this without realizing I need the extrusion piece that goes onto the base of the seat. I purchased that directly through Thule. That pieces fits into the seat as it should, but this adapter does not fit that piece.     • I have this and and this is not as good for my 4 year old
I have this and Thule Yepp Maxi Easyfit Adapter, Black and this is not as good for my 4 year old. I feel this is very sturdy but compared to the adapter not as much. This is basically free standing and the other one sits on the rear rack. Depending on which Yepp seat you have you can only get one or the other and we have both seats. This newer style seattube adapter has been upgraded since I bought one years ago, now there are 2 pieces instead of 1 so that it can accomodate the break wires on the tube. ... show more

    • Did not fit my bike
I used this to see if I could use the Yepp Maxi seat that attaches to the seat post instead of a rack. I would have loved for this to work, but it did not have enough clearance above the tire. I have a Firmstrong Lady Chief bike with 26" tires.

    • Two bikes One child
This works great since we have 2 bikes that we want to be able to put our Yepp child seat on. This is much cheaper than purchasing two whole Yepp seats. The mount is nice because it will mount to most any bike: I can mount it on a road bike since it doesn't require rack mounts.

bought the extra adapter to put on the my partner's bike. we move the seat between the bikes, and the seat itself lends itself well to the mobility. it's an awesome seat (my daughter loves to ride in it) and the adapter was easy to install. it arrived really quickly and we're very happy with our purchase overall. ... show more
