Overall, this tool cleaner works very well. It heats up quickly, reaches a high temperature, and does a good job sanitizing my metal tools. I’ve been using it regularly for a couple of months, and it’s been reliable and easy to use. The only thing I noticed is that after some time, there was a bit of burnt residue/buildup inside the box. It doesn’t affect the performance, but it’s something to be aware of, and I now clean it more often to prevent it from getting worse. I need to add this it will not completely sterilize as claimed, this has inadequate temperature not as claimed even using Kaowool kiln insulation to seal the top with an R value far beyond the thin metal lid the max temperature reached was 190c actual temperatures will be much lower than using Kaowool with just the thin lid much lower temperature is going to be the result that temperature is slow to reach and is not constantly maintained if sued due to injury of a customer you could loose everything, or seriously injure yourself. 190c dry heat will sterilize in 6 to 12 minutes but only with forced air circulation a plain over like this this fails to reach that standard at 160 to 170c it will take 2 hours minimum. Do not buy, If it actually works then it earns the one star, that is as of yet to be determined, but I’m going to try and save you some of your valuable time. I read specifications carefully comparing product claims and features. In the case of these units there can be no measurable difference from one vendors product over another between similarly designed units, if it works great then that’s great but this is one of the more expensive models and I went against common sense not buying the least expensive product just in case some component was different, it can’t be. The materials used are as cheep and the metal it’s built from is as thin as possible. ... show more
