I use these to condition my string for my beaded earrings. I love the slits on both sides so it covers the whole string. It works really well and the curliest string always comes out straight which is the goal. My only drawback is that the covers come off easily and the wax can break if the string is pulled through it too hard, so use carefully!

I had never used thread wax before but I like it! Seems to keep tangling to a minimum! The container makes it easy and clean to use. My only complaint is I wish it wasn’t as visible. I’m very careful to not use too much because I’ve seen it leave a visible residue. Not an issue with some mindfulness though.

First thing that I noticed was the product was not in any packaging that would indicate "New". Just a plain ziploc baggie, no label or barcode. Nothing that would assure me that this was indeed shipped as New. The thread conditioner (if in fact it was actually Maitys), was just a piece of wax in a clear plastic holder. After applying the product to my thread, found my thread knotting and tangling and wax pieces dotted on my work surface and on my beadwork as well. In the future will stick with products that live up to the expectations as advertised.
