Description
Pair of gauntlets, one for each hand! Fearsome in a night battle, these all black medieval and functional carbon steel armor gauntlets protect your most valuable tools, your hands. Seven riveted plates protect the forearm and wrist, per gauntlet, including the knuckle protector (historically used to punch someone in the groin during a battle, too). Also, the inside of the wrist is protected with steel plate that wraps 360 degrees around. Sixteen smaller plates of steel on each hand cover the four fingers and three plates plus hinge for the thumb. Of the many variants of steel armor gauntlets available, this has to be the most flexible and freely moving set on the market. Each hand can move so freely and naturally and it provides near perfect dexterity. Provided, you had to go back in time to the 16th century and pit these gauntlets up against the historically accurate weaponry of that time, these would be more than adequate in terms of functional, battle ready protection. Ideally, you would wear cotton padding and/or chainmail gloves under the natural leather suede for added absorption of kinetic trauma. Each steel plate is riveted together and acts as a hinge for dexterity. Each piece is handmade by a smith and may contain slight differences or imperfections.
