This unit took about two weeks to be delivered. The unit itself it quite heavy. I am not sure it weighs in at 242 pounds that the specifications listed but it is far more substantial that any of the other gas stoves we have had over many years. I had to change the stove over to LP as it comes set up for natural gas. If you take your time and are careful the top is quite easy. The new gas jets came in a well marked package and you just need to change them over one at a time. It did not come with a tool for this so you will need either a 7mm or 8mm socket. Can't remember which but think it was 7mm. I used a deep socket and it worked fine. I should say that the instructions are not good. I think it might be safe to say that they were not helpful at all. As I have done this work before this stove is not unique and the work is straight forward. When you install the new gas jets on the top of the stove, you do not have to tighten them too much. They are brass and just don't need too much torque. If you are careful you can feel when they come up tight. The gas regulator on the back of the stove is very straightforward. You just screw out the cap from the back of the regulator. Attached to the cap is a small piece that has to be screwed out, turned over and reinstalled. It is very intuitive once you see the part. Screw the cap back into the regulator and you are good to go on that part. I found that changing the gas jets in the stove was somewhat more difficult. This was mostly due to the fact that I do not fit into the stove compartment well and at my age, contorting around is not as easy as it used to be. There is really nothing about this that is difficult but there are two gas jets to change. One for the baking part (on the bottom) and one for the broiler (on the top). I took the door off the stove. This is quite easy and there are directions for this. I found the stove to be dark inside so plugged it in and turned on the stove light. That helped a lot. You then have to remove the burner tubes to get access to the jets. Basically it is a few sheet metal screws. Once the burner tube is removed you can access the gas jets and change them. I did the baking (bottom) jet first then did the top one rather than try to get it all out at one time. Please remember that the screws are sheet metal screws and you should only tighten them back up until they hold. Any more and you will strip them (of course I learned the hard way on one of the top screws). This can be fixed by going to the next larger size of sheet metal screw (I suggest stainless) that you will have to go to the hardware to get. You will then be careful and have no problems with the new screw. Once that was done we just had to install the stove. Our gas inlet was not really in the right place for this stove so had to change that. Our stove needs the gas to enter the stove on the bottom, rear, right corner as you look at the stove from the front. As I had originally installed our gas lines, it was not much of a job but did take an hour. Once the gas line was hooked up and the unit was plugged in it worked perfectly from the beginning. It does take several seconds to bleed the air out of the lines while the gas finds its way to the burner units. You will hear a little air escaping the burners but it has to go somewhere so the gas can get to the burner. Again, everything worked perfectly once it was installed. It has absolutely no bells and whistles so is exactly what we wanted. It has worked flawlessly for about two weeks now. One last comment. The circulating fan for convection is really quiet. I had to open the door to realize that it was working. All in all this is a very solid unit. It did take about 2 hours to get all the packaging off and get it changed over to LP but that was expected. The stove is great just don't expect too much from the instructions. If you live where power can be intermittent, the top burners will light with a match. The oven uses the heat blocks so you cannot use the over without power. ... show more

I'm in love with this stove, I have been using it now for 8 months. It's beautiful and a welcome addition to my kitchen with its solid continuous grates. The oven works like a dream. I got the LP conversion kit which was easily installed. The powerful btu stove top cuts my cooking time down significantly. My only complaint is I notice a tiny circular tarnish spot on the oven door. We live near the sea so we have to be cognizant of our purchases but I'm keeping my eye on it to see how best I can get that resolved. ... show more

The burners on this are great, lots of control and able to pump up the heat. Convection fan was very effective and great for my baking. The large oven with this feature, however, has broken twice and will not work in the YEAR since I’ve owned it. They offer a warranty but getting someone at this company to send someone to fix it is never ending. I’ve spent nine months out of the last year with a broken oven which has been a nightmare. ... show more

I love the look of this oven but it simply does not work. At random times it will refuse to go above 350 degrees. the temperature knob does not reflect the temp in the oven - which would be fine, I just bought a thermometer for the inside. The problem is that even when you turn it all the way up past 500, it will still barely reach 475 at best, and at worst hovers around 350. It concerns me that the temperature is so wildly variable and i have considered whether or not it is safe given this failure. I will be trying to enforce the warranty but based on other comments here I have low hopes. ... show more

Great range. Stong burners, all of them. The 2 very high ones are amazing. One caveat, you will need a heat diffuser to simmer. Excellent broiler, and the oven heats up quickly. Convection works perfectly. Oven also very large, racks very strong. I'm running on LP.

Where to start? Purchased this range less than 1 year ago. The door hinges do not operate correctly, letting heat flow freely out of the oven, thus making the maintenance of temperature IMPOSSIBLE. We filed a claim 4 months ago, and cannot get in touch with anyone from Thor, which you have to go through because the vendor of this unit won’t accept ANY RESPONSIBILITY for the product they peddle. Now, during the past 4 months, the convection stopped working. The heat indicator light stopped working. Still nothing from Thor or from the dealer. Are they waiting until our warranty expires? Probably. We are disgusted with the lack of any customer service at all, and with the product on a whole! We would give this company and product a negative number of stars if we could….
